Im getting married in the uk and then honeymooning in Waltdisney world. Myself and H2b originally planned to marry out in disney but had a lot of logistic problems. What i wanted to do is organise a surprice ceremony within disney without the reception, cake, flowers etc. Any one heard of this of anyone doing this? More of a blessing rather than a wedding.

I would go with a ceremony at the Swan. You can customize it anyway you like-just a location and ceremony if you choose. They have pretty locations as well.

Another vote here for the Swan!!!! We had a very simple VR there last year, and it was perfect for us and cost considerably less than a similar event would have cost through DFTW.

Congrats on your wedding and honeymoon! Anything organized thru dftw or swan and dolphin etc.. Will incur the same fees whether it's a blessing, wedding or vow renewal, just FYI. The swan & dolphin does seem to have more a la carte options. Dftw does offer a memories package, but that is for a max of 4 people I think.

You could also look into arranging a (non ceremonial) dinner event or fireworks party. If you are not in a park, I believe you can wear wedding attire as well.

Any idea how much the swan wedding ceremony? My plan was to go get married and then go to downtown disney. As its only me an my h2b there.

At the Swan & Dolphin, the basic fee is $1,815 for a ceremony venue, the services of a professional wedding planner, seating, a water station, an
indoor backup location, and the use of a hospitality suite.

Package weddings (including flowers, photography, etc.) at the Swan start at $2,595.

Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings' Memories Collection package costs $2,495.

If you are planning to go to DTD afterwards, you can also consider a ceremony at DTD if that appeals to you. I have read brides on here who have gotten married at Fultons-the big boat in DTD. I think the base package is around $1400.
