Hmm....I live in Southern California (close to Disneyland)but have visited a lot of midwestern and the western states, but if I HAD to move somewhere I would love to live in Louisiana.
Great beaches. Nice mountains in NC ( Asheville )...... No snow ( but they can get ice storms )..... reasonably priced homes, and, if you pick the right area, pretty good schools.
I guess the mountains can get snow.... but by and large, they get very little snow.
Plus, for those that care from the NE, much closer to WDW. It is a reasonable drive from the Carolinas.....
Well, PA appears to be the CLEAR leader in where to leave!
Actually, if there was no snow, I would like it here a whole lot more.... Reasonable housing, some great school systems, close to the beach and mountains if you live near Philly..... lots of museums. Home of the WS champions in baseball.
An ABUNDANCE of great colleges and universities. Taxes are acceptable, especially when compared to NJ.
One negative is that our roads are usually pretty bad, IMO. But that is because we get so much freezing, then warmth, then freezing, then warmth.... they break like dropped cookies come springtime.
