Well, I am from SC and don't want to move anywhere except closer to the coast. If I absolutely HAD to move I would choose FL but only on the coast. So----
Does it have to be another state? Can it be another country instead?
Moving from PA
to Ireland
If I have to pick a state, well, that changes day to day. Today it would be Oregon(Saw a Tony Bourdain's No Reservation episode yesterday about Portland. I've gotta try a Voodoo Doughnut!!) Yesterday it was Florida. Tomorrow it will probably be Arizona. I'm led by my stomach. Wherever the good food is, that's where I want to be. I do have to say, that I think the cuisine in this area is truly unique and some of the best. Often imitated, never duplicated. If I ever moved from here, I would need someone to send me a weekly supply of good potato chips, pretzels and Turkey Hill iced tea.
Oy...already have done it, but not necessarily our choices:
NJ to NE (as in Nebraska)
NE to IN
IN to CA
CA to VA
VA to OH (I-O!)
I'd go back to VA, or to NC or SC...
Specifics? Not sure where in VA, just love the countryside,
Carey, NC and Hilton Head, SC, Palmetto Bluffs is my dream
CA to MS
MS to MN
MN to MA
MA to MS
MS to MO
MO to CA
My husband and I know we will leave CA when we retire but we have not decided where yet. All 3 of our children and their spouses live here so we may try to stay in the western US.
I have lived in VA, NC, FL(twice!), MS, AL and GA. If I didn't live in GA I'd love to live in western WA. In fact, DH and I are hoping to spend our summers in WA in a couple more years.
