Just 24 days left, what else do I need to think of?

The countdown is on! I actually haven't thought much about our trip since doing fast passes and ordering magic bands and now I can't believe it is almost here! A few last minute things I've just thought of:

1. Recommended external phone charger? DH has an iphone 4 and mine is a 4S. Just want something small that would have enough juice to charge each of our phones in the park if needed.

2. Do I need bitbelts or something else for our Magic bands to keep them securely on? I was thinking of ordering one for my Fitbit Flex anyways. Or getting a clear O-rind from the hardware store. Should I get something for our magic bands as well?

3. Need to start thinking about packing. We are going Oct. 26-Nov.3. The look ahead forecast predicts temps in the 70's. But I know that's the high temp in the afternoon. What should I expect for temperature wise if hitting rope drop each day? My 6 yr. old always wants to have a sweatshirt as she gets cold easily. Will we be needing those in the mornings?

4. I don't have suitcases for the girls (ages 6 and 9). Any recs for best size/type of suitcase? I don't want to go overboard on cost as they won't be using them often but also don't want to cheap out and get something that falls apart after one trip.

What else am I forgetting? I think we are good on shoes finally (Crocs and sneakers for DD1, Keen sandals and sneakers for DD2, Columbia sandals and sneakers for DH, and Keen or Teva sandals and sneakers for myself), and I got the Baggallini Messenger Sling bag that was so highly recommended here for my park bag. May also pick up a packable backpack for DH if we end up needed ponchos, sweatshirts, etc. on some days. My Amazon list keeps growing......

We're getting close, too! I can't answer all your questions (I hadn't yet heard of the bitbelt, I guess I should look into that?). We've done November before but near the end of the month and awhile ago so my brain is foggy but I'm currently planning on us needing sweatshirts/jackets in the evenings most likely, although I'm kind of hoping we won't so we don't have to carry anything around with us. :)

My girls have cute Disney Heys luggage that we carry-on but they can fit their week's clothing in each. They've had them 3 years now I think and they've lasted GREAT for various trips, plus they love how cute they are. I think ours were purchased at our local AAA store and I don't remember the price but it was definitely worth it for how well they're holding up!

I hope you have a great trip!

How long are you staying and where? If 5 nights or more I recommend bringing a popup hamper ($5 at Target) and laundry pods. I waaay overpacked for our March trip. Realistically I could have packed less than half. I ended up doing laundry anyway and it was no big deal. Put a load in then hung out at pool while rest of family took a nap. Took maybe 1.5 hrs of my time.

Also on the packing note we went in October a few years ago. It was a little nippy at the bus stop in the mornings. My kids wore shorts and a short sleeve tee with a long sleeve tee over it. When it warmed up they just tied the long sleeve tee around their waists.

As far as luggage I would buy a medium size pullman at Marshalls or TJ Maxx. You will get a name brand at lower price. If you do laundry mod trip you can get away with packing two kids in one bag.

Regarding phone charger, I had an iPhone 4 when we went two years ago and found a charging case on Amazon. You charge the case the night before then put the phone in it. There is a charge switch you turn on when you need to charge it. It wasn't the most amazing thing but it gave me about 70% more battery from zero. And it wasn't $$. less than $10 if I recall. I just had to remember to charge it each night.

Our last November trip we ended up having to buy sweatshirts because it was chilly in the AM and when the sun went down. This trip we will wear sweatshirts on the plane ride down.

And I don't think you need anything special for your MagicBand. We've never had an issue with ours :)
