Just 1 place!!

Why can't you make ADRs at 180 days out? You don't need a trip booked to make an ADR. I've booked ADRs before booking a hotel/package before...
oh really?? I'll have to look into that because I thought in order to do the DDP you had to book the tickets and room all together at once? I'll have to read up on that more and see.

We're thinking about maybe trying the new TS at AK (it opens in Nov) but we want to wait to see what the menu is before booking that.

I vote for Narcoosees - especially during Wishes....
It is so awesome and the food is great too! I do prefer Narccoosees over Cali Grill for food and atmosphere!

ADRs have nothing to do with DDP. Basically, an ADR just makes it so you can get into the restaurant with a minimal wait. DDP is how you pay for your food. They may ask you if you have DDP when you make your ADRs, but that's just so they can make note of it.

thank you so much. I did call wdw dining today and a very nice lady i spoke with said that you can make an adr and then call back to note the ddp when i make the hotel ressie in jan. this is wonderful that they let you do the adr w/o having the ddp and the hotel ressie. she even told me that the park tix have nothing to do w/the ddp so i will be able to do the ddp too and not waste buying a park ticket!!

my parents and brother are going to decide to night and call for tomorrow. i'm praying we get into coral reef cuz my brothers bday is march 3 so i want a divers sign for him, when we went in may i got one for mom/dads anniversary and the restaurant did one for my college graduation (i mentioned it to debbi in an email, it was such a surprise!!) but bro did not get a sign so i pray that its far enough ahead to be able to get one!!

Unfortunately, she gave you the wrong info. The requirement for the DDP is to have a Magic Your Way package, with resort reservations and at least 1 day park ticket. (Or stay at a DVC resort on points)

Perhaps she meant that the ressies had nothing to do with the tickets...

Here is what allears.net has to say about the requirements:

The Magic Your Way Dining Plan can only be purchased as follows:

1. If you are a non-Disney Vacation Club member, you must purchase a Magic Your Way vacation package at a Disney resort for your entire party with at least one day's park admission. The number of days for the Dining Plan will equal the number of nights you have reserved your room on the package. It has nothing to do with the number of days of park admission you have.

2. If you are a Disney Vacation Club member staying at a DVC resort on points, you may purchase the Dining Plan. You must purchase the Dining Plan for everyone in your party. No purchase of park admission is necessary. The number of dining plan days will equal the number of nights of your stay.

NOTE: The following resorts do not participate in the dining plan: The Swan, Dolphin, Shades of Green and the Downtown Disney resorts on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, which are not Disney owned or operated.

I had noted my nephew's 6th birthday in our reservation, but made no special requests or ordered any cakes. Well much to our surprise when we arrived for our first night dinner at Narcoossee's they had a birthday button ready for him AND our menus were personalized with "Happy 6th Birthday Zeke". Imagine our surprise and Zeke was blown away wanting to know "how'd they do that". Disney magic baby. If you don't get your set up with Coral Reef, you can make him feel like a King at Narcoossee's!

He also got a special laminated take home place mat, birthday cupcake and a napkin waving in his honor at Chef Mickey's! Again, no request was made!
