Hi,
I have a little Jurassic/ dinosaur fan and am wondering how wet you get on this ? Is it a possible soaking ? Would a poncho be sufficient ? Or like feet and everything . Just debating as not sure how warm it will be next month.
Thanks

I’d guess we’ve ridden 10 times or so. Most times, we just got mildly wet - like shoulders and hair got splashed. One or two times, we were almost completely dry. And one or two times, we got pretty wet - hair and shoulders soaked.

Our first ride, we got split up. Our three daughters were in the boat in front of ours. We barely got splashed and when we pulled up to unload, our daughters were getting out with soaked hair.

Seems like it’s all down to the weight in the boat, the weight distribution, and your location in the boat.

We didn’t get that wet on it, but that’s only comparing it to the other 2 water rides which got us drowned rat level soaked. A poncho would be a good idea if you don’t want to get wet.

Poncho will work for Jurassic Park. It varies from spritzed to wet, but only from the waist up - no drenched pants or shoes. Well, and possible wet tush from sitting down on a wet seat.

Poncho will definitely not be sufficient for the other 2 water rides. You will be soaked on those.

The only time my lower body has been wet on this ride was when we were in the front row. Otherwise, we rode it 6 times in a row and were hardly wet at all. Then we moved on to Popeye and Bluto’s and found out the true meaning of WET!

How close are the three water rides. Can I ride all three easily and then go back to the hotel and change?

They're fairly close. They're all on the same side of IOA and Popeye's and Dudley Doo Right's are almost right next to each other. I would do Jurassic Park first then walk down to Toon Lagoon for the other two (that get you much wetter).

Thank you so much guys. I don’t think we will do the other water rides and it may just be me and him as unless we are at a water park the big kids aren’t water ride fans. , but with 9 he’s all about Dinos so I might have to suck it up lol

Yes - we do this every trip. We dedicate one afternoon to water rides and pool at the resort (but you could also go back and change). We start with Jurassic Park and walk back toward the exit. We are soaked to the skin by the time we're done. If it's an option, walking is best. :rotfl2:

I t depends on where you sit and how full the raft is. we have been dry and SOAKED. But never as bad as Dudleys. We are ALWAYS soaked on that.

We were watching that ride last week. Most people didn't get wet but some folks did. A lot of folks had ponchos. We did notice the folks in the middle of the boat barely got wet. We watched for about 30 minutes.
