Last time I went to orlando in 2004 I didnt pluck up the courage to ride this but I rode Dinosaur at WDW. How does this compare and how bad is the drop? I have been on Dudleys ripsaw falls, is it similar to that?

Also I heard somewhere that in the ride you have dinosaurs breathing down your neck, is this true?

Jurassic Park is a great ride, not quite as intense a drop as Ripsaw in my opinion - I would say more similar to Splash Mountain.

The Dinosaur appears just before the drop, and isn't really scary in anyway.

There is nothing to fear , if you can do Ripsaw then you can easily do JP.

Thanks for your comments. After what you have said, im sure i will be fine. Do the dinosaurs jump out on you like in Dinosaur at WDW or not just so i can be prepared :) ?

No, you go on a sort of river boat ride first of all which is quite gentle and then at the end you go upwards through a steep climb - it is at the end of that where the T-REX appears, but it's not sudden or anything that would startle you.
And then follows the drop, Ripsaw I feel is much more intense.

Wow! Thanks! This puts me at ease as well!!! We rode Dinosaur last year and I enjoyed it, but the picture that they take of you at the end was SO FUNNY!!! My 10 year old son, who professes to be afraid of nothing, looked like a pile of coats as he was curled up in his car hiding his head!!!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the JP ride does have some raptors that "jump" and hit a chain link fence, can be startling... for me anyway :teeth: But it is a really fun ride.

Yes, and they spit water on you which can be startling the first time too. IMO if you did Dinosaur and the Ripsaw, JP will be easy for you.

Dinosaur is extremely intense compared to JPRA. And Dudley has a more intense drop. JPRA will seem gentle by comparison.

I'm glad to know this too!!! I am a big chicken when it comes to inclines and drops-I'm afraid of heights!!! I love coasters like Space Mountain and such. I would love to ride the Hulk, but I know that will never happen!!!! :cloud9:

I agree about Dinosaur being overall more intense. JPRA has 2-3 Raptors which make loud noises and come toward you, but it's not that scary to me, also theres the big finale...but actually the drop is higher than Dudley's I don't think its more intense.

Wow! That is great - I should be able to do it this time. Last trip I did Ripsaw - didn't like it - and I also did Dinosaur (can't really remember it, but I certainly was not terrified) so I think that I can actually do it this time!

JPRA has a slightly taller drop, but it's definitely not as steep. This, along with the fact that it's mostly in the dark makes it much easier to handle for me. I still hold on for dear life on Dudley.

Not to mention JPRA actually has restraints. :scared1:
