I was at Universal and IOA in December 2008, and was told that these two rides were to close soon after I left, to be updated. Could anybody tell me what the difference in the rides are, as they were two of my favourite rides.

Thanks,

Andrew

No difference, just maintenance. A bit of painting here and there, fixing the doors. Were restraints on Ripsaw last time you rode? There are lapbars now.

Jurrasic Park is a pleasant boat ride that turns into a dinosour nightmare and finishes as a log flume. You may or may not get wet. On Ripsaw Falls you will definitely get soaked. Also finishes as a log flume.

Thanks for the reply. There weren't lap bars on Ripsaw Falls when we were there, because I remember thinking it was quite uncomfortable! It was one of my favourite rides, though.
