Junior High!!!!!

Hi everybody,

I'm starting Junior High and i'm worried about the different classes.
Any tips?

I loved Middle School, it was a lot of fun.
You do get a lot more freedom, getting to change classes, walking arounf the school, having different teachers, etc. But you still have to walk in lines, no talking in the hallway, and that stuff (at least at my Middle School you had to).

Don't worry about the different classes. That's the best part. Changing classes and teachers each period is fun. Plus, when I was in 6th grade all my classes were next to each other, so I didn't have to worry about getting lost. And your teachers will be more than happy to help you with anything.

Umm... tips... tips... I'd say don't annoy the 8th graders (assuming that your school runs 6th-8th grade). I know the 6th graders always annoyed me last year. Of course now, the 12th graders are going to think I'm annoying, but oh well, haha.

I was in 8th grade last year. Since I'm in high school now, I actually miss jr high a lot. I was soooo nervous about going( jr high) but it was really not that bad. If you feel like you don't know where to go, just think there are a bunch of people in your grade that feel the exact same way! In my jr high, it went from 6th to 8th grade in one long hallway. Talk about chaos when the bell rang. Hopefully, you won't be put in that situation. Jr high isn't the best, but it does give you the opportunity to be involved in sports. Oh, and switchig classes is actually pretty fun. It makes the day go by faster. Hope this helps! Sending pixie dust for your first day!!

For me, junior high was my "awkward" time in life. I kinda didn't have a real set group of friends, I hung out with different groups all the time. I really think Jr. High is the time to start finding yourself and all that jazz. It's pretty easy compared to high school, school work wise. You'll have fun, no worries.

My school system is really weird and I'm going into 10th grade and only just starting High School. Middle school was 7th-9th. Anyway that's besides the point, you'll do great just try and get to classes on time. I always had that problem...

Also by the end of Middle School you'll be so glad it's over!

I disagree, I was sad when middle school was over! It was my "comfort zone" I know that school like I know my house. My friends and I keep saying we wish we could stay in Middle School instead of going to High School... I'm sure that thought will change in a few weeks, but oh well

My Middle School 6th-8th grade but it was 7th-8th the year before I came since they built a new school my first year so they had more room. So I never really had to be the underdog since there were 6th graders below me and when I was a 6th I was in Elementary school. Realistically Middle school is alot of fun I like 8th grade year way more than I liked my 7th grade year but it was still fun! It's alot more independent and you have like 7 classes to manage but it's a change but not too hard . I don't know how much I miss middle school now since I'm a junior in high school but I know when I was a freshman there were aspects that I missed. I didn't miss the fact that there was no soda sold, or little food variety but I did miss being in a smaller building since my middle school only had 700 kids but my high school has 2,000 + kids. Now going into junior year I don't miss it too much but tons has changed since my freshman year but we have got around some of those rules since we are friends with the teachers at my school.
