Does this cost anything? Is it generally crowded? Can someone give me good directions to it??

It doesn't cost a thing. We've done it twice and it wasn't crowded at all. Go early, the tables get pretty sticky after a bit. When we went it was held in front of the fire station on Main St.

the area where you do this is currently in refurb. Im not sure when its gonna be done.

And I think I read elsewhere that they were going to do away with this completely, since Nestle is no longer a sponsor with DL? Maybe I just thought I read it...

Yes, they stopped this activity several months ago and it is not clear if it is coming back.

darkbeer, a source elsewhere, whom i'd pretty much trust on all disneyland related news, has stated that nestle has withdrawn and they will no longer offer this activity. although he did say it also stopped on DCL and WDW but from what I gathered, it had still been going on at least at WDW at the time.

but the plaza inn, where it was, is closed off and is rumored to become the new disney gallery
