Hi Tass, we went Friday and DD91/2 did the first show. We got there about 15 min. before 11 and were the first in line. It wasn't too crowded, even if someone had shown up at 11 they would have gotten in. The have 3 tables for the kids and will keep siblings together.
The show is run by Chef Lily (she does a great job) and Chef Goofy helps out. Instead of making Tollhouse cookies as in previous year (and previously at DL and WDW) they now make Mango popsicles. (Paleta in Mexico-frozen fruit bars). All the ingredients are ready and waiting at the tables. We had only 3-4 kids at each table. After they added in all the ingredientes one of the kids sprinkles in the magic (glitter) and then all 3 of the bowls of mixture are poured into a giant popsicle mold. Goofy places it into the Magic Freezer and then takes out a giant popsicle. Of course, being Goofy, he does do silly things during the show.
The kids all get together at the front of the stage area to have their photos taken. Then they are all given a Mango fruit bar by Nestle. The bar given out has different ingredients than the recipe the kids do. The kids used mango puree, mango chunks, water, sugar and lime. The Nestle ones have Mango, cream, and milk. Very Creamy. DD didn't care for it and honesly neither did my DSis or I. Too mango-y, if possible.
After the show the PP photographer took pictures of the kids eating and sharing their bars with the parents. There were 2 PP photogs there. When I had our pix added to my card there were almost 600 taken during the (3) shows. It took awhile to pick them all out. CM at PP was actually a little rude.
I shot video of the show and my DSis took pictures. I'll get them from her and post them here shortly.
Show took just under 15 min. to do (more like 12). My DD at 9 1/2 was the oldest there and a little bored. I don't think I'll be able to get her to do it again. (They grow up so fast!
