Jungle Navigation Skipper Canteen

I’ve had the chicken (or at least it tastes like chicken) several times and it is great. I think I might try the pork next time.

So far, everything I've gotten there has been good, not necessarily great, but good. I've had the cachapas, Tastes like chicken, Brazillian cheese appetizer (delicious!) , and Perkins Thai noodles . I found the noodles to be quite spicy, too much for me. Hubby got them too, with chicken, and really enjoyed it, for him, spice was just right. He's also had the pork, and said it was good enough. We just love the atmosphere, and the skippers. The last 2 we had were HILARIOUS!

We were there last week. Had the Brazilian cheese bread, each of us got a wedge salad, I had the falafel and my husband had the cachapas. One of the best meals of our trip.

Sangria. Wait, I guess that's not a "dish".

Always love the steak salad, sorry to hear it's not on the current menu. But I don't think we've ever gotten anything we don't like anyway.

Love this place. But it may or may not be based on the sangria. :rolleyes1

I love this place but I hope it goes back to its regular menu. Needs more options to entice me to go back and try something new and also for others in the party to find something they like!

We got ADR's there for dinner. It will be myself, 17 yr old DS, my brother, SIL, and nephews (7 and 5). We will be celebrating my b-day. Do you think it will be okay for us as we are not adventurous eaters? Spicy foods are not popular in our family either! :o

My issue here is that I can't do spicy... at all.

I've had the steak... ok, but not blown away... and the steak salad which is not on the COVID menu.

Is there anything else I can safely even order that won't be a problem?

Ask for the chicken without the sauce. They put it on the side for DH so can omit it altogether. Then it is just plain fried chicken.

I actually got a steak there and it was really good... That was 3 years ago

As far as I know, the only spicy dish in the menu is the Thai noodle bowl. Nothing that we have had there has been spicy. Cheese bread, falafel, pork skewers, cachapas, chicken, steak all good and not spicy.

I kept coming back to the restaurant, but I typically don't eat dinner inside of MK so I kept skipping it as an option. But mostly because I like to have a drink with dinner after a long day in the parks (and the last time I went to WDW was 2015). But I saw that this restaurant has some wine on the menu so I think I will definitely be adding it to my list! My husband is a pretty pick eater and usually keeps his dishes simple. I think he might eat the chicken, but is there anything "weird" about it that I should know about before booking this place?

Well for the chicken, ask for the sauce on the side. Overall, it is heavily themed to the Jungle Cruise attraction and the cast members (host, servers) all get in on the action with jokes and puns - some more than others. So that’s a little “weird” I guess...it’s fun and can sometimes be a bit awkward depending on your server. We always like the food and always order a bottle of wine, which makes it even more fun!

We're definitely good with atmosphere weird, that's our jam! But if he can get the sauce on the side, I'm sure it will work out for him. I'm sold :)
