Need some advise about this restaurant. We have multiple ADRs for our trip and are looking for a afternoon dinner before we do our MNSSHP. Here are other ADRs that we have
Boathouse
50s Prime
Boma
Liberty Tree
1900 Park Fare
Tusker House
Crystal Palace
BOG
If you think of something better at MK please let me know.

If you go to SC, don't plan it up against any kind of hard timeline. We were there at the beginning of May on a low crowd day, had an ADR and waited 55 minutes after our ADR before we were sat and the service was awful and slow. I mentioned it on a DVC board I follow and had a lot of people reply with similar experiences. I'm not trying to bash the place, I still consider it new and in the 'working out the kinks' stage, but just want you to be better prepared than we were for the possible length of time to get through dinner.

wow, 55 min after your adr time is unacceptable. The last time we visited in March the place was packed and closed to walk ups, but we did not share that experience.

Not everyone on the DVC board had that long of a wait, but it seemed like most that commented waited 20 or more past ADR time.

I do think it's how they handle it too, there was no communication. That same trip we had to wait not even 15 minutes for our CRT ADR and they gave us a FP before they took us up, we hadn't even said anything about the wait. Also the same trip at Le Cellier, one of the CM's was entertaining the lobby with Disney Trivia questions and they were not even behind ADR times. Again, I'm not trying to bash SC, I think once they work out some timing issues (or how they handle delays) I think it will be a great addition. I just wanted the OP to be aware, just in case.

For sure, all good info.

The restaurant has been open for a couple of years now so I don't think they should get a "pass" because they are working out timing issues and the sort. I'd would have been very upset if I had of waited 55 min and you can bet I would have spoken to a Manager about it.

The good news for the op is that I can say for sure that it's not always the case at least because I have never had that experience. Mind you, I have only eaten twice with an ADR, once for lunch and once for dinner. All the rest of the times I visited were before they excepted adrs, and discounts for that matter, lol.

Thanks everyone. Hopefully we won't run into a long wait but it sounds like we will enjoy the atmosphere and the food.

We've gone to dinner twice and we loved it! And, just for a different experience, we literally waited about 1 minute when we ate there in December. We checked in, sat down and then they called our names boom-boom-boom. And it was pretty much like that both times. We have a 5:30pm res for our pre MNSSHP in late October. Enjoy!

We like it. We were there last month and were seated with in a couple minutes of arrival. The guy at the outside check in was just a bit rough but once in everything was great. We all had the steak but subbed potatoes for the side. I can't remember what else we had but I do remember it was good. We didn't really get any of the corny joke treatment but our server was friendly, helpful and very good. We will certainly go back.

I was there in March, and we were seated pretty close to arrival time. Food was yummy, and it was a nice break. I'd go back.

Had the dumplings appetiser last night. delicious! A long with the lamb which was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend for both food and theming. Except for the bread, it looked great but was terrible, stale. Yuk.

I checked it about 5 min early and was seated about 12 min after my reservation time.

Skipper canteen was very good. I usually don't go back to table service restaurants at wdw. Like to try them all out. But this one I will definitely be back.
