Jungle Jim's

Anyone used to eat at this restaurant? Right off of Disney property.

My family loved this place and we would eat there once or twice each trip. For our Disneymoon in 2001, my wife and I flew to Orlando and thus had no car...that didn't stop us. We took a bus to the Marketplace in DTD and walked past all the DTD hotels to get to it.

Last time we went (in 2002) I ordered the Peanut Butter Bet -- hamburger with bacon and peanut butter and my wife ordered a BBQ sandwich. We cut each in half and split each. They were both amazing!

Not sure when they left, but I know that the restaurant is gone now (none left in the U.S. I believe). I miss Jungle Jim's. Anyone remember it?

We started going back in 1990 or so, Mom, Dad, DH & I. DH had a t-shirt & we went every trip. Mom loved a good burger. She was so disappointed when it closed the year before she died. Good memories of us all enjoying it.

Absolutely loved Jungle Jim's. Also loved the "beach style" store that was next to it for awhile - Fishtale Freddy's. Great place. Sadly, all are gone. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, though

We ate there once too...1997 I believe. My oldest was 2 at the time. He loved the little plastic giraffe they put in the straw of his drink! I remember the stools of the bar being legs of animals too...

Neat place, too bad it's gone!

Oh the plastic giraffe, now I remember that. Yes, we ate there two times before checking into Disney, coming from the airport. We really enjoyed it there, as well.

Yes, we remember it too. It was our first meal in Orlando on our first family trip to WDW. All I remember is a funky mildew smell in the restaurant!! Food was pretty good though

Jungle Jim's was a tradition for us, and we were heartbroken when that place closed. Target had the same little plastic animals they put on their drinks in their dollar spot sometime last year, and we break some out now and then just to remind us.

Yes, I remember. Jungle Jim's was one of our regular spots the summer (1995) I worked at Disney as part of the WDW College Program. Now, I'm going to have to dig through my photos!
