In all of our trips to the MK we have never done this. My first trip it was closed and the other ones , I just don't know why we haven't done it but I think I would like to. Can anyone tell me about this ride? What is it like, would my dd and dn (11) enjoy this? I think I read somewhere that it doesn't open with the park but an hour later, is that right?
Thanks
Sharon:)

The Jungle Cruise is one of the best Disney attractions of all time in my mind. If you like slap stick humor and corny jokes, you will enjoy your cruise through the rivers of the world.

This is an absolute, not to be missed Disney classic-the kids will love the corny jokes:p Definitely try to make time this visit to do this one:D

Actually, do it twice-once during the day and once at night. Just be aware that it's an old ride, not the up-to-date special effects, and yes, it's very corny. However, one of the reasons I love it is for its old fashioned, corniness.

I think this is a must do on our next trip! I love corney, my favor disney ride is It's a Small World!
Does anyone know if it opens with the park or later? Wondering if I head to it first thing if I will be able to ride it?

It is not an Early Entry attraction. Maybe that it what you were thinking or what you heard? So if you get in early and do all the other stuff, sometimes you have to wait at the rope until it drops to get in over in Adventureland.

I'm thinking that on our last trip, the Jungle Cruise opened an hour after the rest of Adventureland, but I could be wrong...I do suffer from periodic bouts of insanity. I asked my SO, and he also thinks it opened later. Of course, I woke him out of a sound sleep to ask, so his memory may not be right either.

Way back in 1972 on my first WDW trip, I can still remember my parents in disbelief at how "real" the animals looked on this ride. It was all they could talk about. I was so terrified of the snake. Now, of course, it does seem dated, but nonetheless is an absolute must do. Sure the jokes are corny, but they're fun, and there's something that's still very mesmerizing for me about the scenery. It actually does feel as though you've completely left the MK and entered a real jungle. Don't miss it!:D

MK opened at 9:00 and The Jungle Cruise did not open until 10:00. It was our DD first trip and we did EE. However by the time we FantasyLand and had a PS at CP we did not get to ride as people started lining up fiftee minutes early.:( :( :(

Jungle Cruise is very good - nice and relaxing - the kiddies will love it.

We went on it in the middle of the afternoon - the queues were very long but my brother and I had fastpasses - we just walked on the ride!

Be sure to sit by the driver of the boat, if possible. It's a hoot!
