From Reuters UK:
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Hot on the heels of the success of "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl," another Disneyland ride, "Jungle Cruise," is being turned into an action-adventure feature.

On Jungle Cruise, riders travel the rivers of the jungle guided by a riverboat skipper, encountering wild animals along the way. The first version of the Jungle Cruise ride was based on Walt Disney's True Life Adventure Series.

The period piece will be developed in the vein of Disney adventure films of the past. "It's completely inspired by and relates to the ride and will contain elements of the ride in the story," said David Hoberman, who will produce the feature.

While "Pirates of the Caribbean" was a worldwide smash, Disney also turned its Haunted Mansion and Country Bear attractions into films, to less spectacular effect.

I think that waould be awesome. Especially if they had it as like a documentary of one of the guides and the day they have everyday. Or if they had it from the point of view of one of the guys who the turned over truck belonged to.pirate:

Should Disney return to some "Good Old Fashioned" movie making techniques of the past. A well thought out script. Some original Disney style and flair from the 60's and 70's. With a "Dramatic comedy / Swiss Family / Indiana Jones" feel to it, they could make themselves one heck of a hit of a entertaining Magic Kingdom Feature Adventure.

My guess this is likely to be another country bears type quality movie instead of something like POTC.

I'm affraid your right, Counrty Bears, that movie was a good example of a bad idea. Maybe if they give JC a budget, good things will come of it.

How about a movie about the Tiki Room? I mean, 2 hours straight of those happy and delightful birds, that'd just make for wholesome family entertainment that I could watch over and over again without getting bored or tired.

Hope you caught the sarcasm -- was laying it on pretty thick. :teeth:
