Jungle Cruise - fast pass or standby?

Fastpass!! We always walk down there and think the line doesn't look so bad, then get in the line to wait. THEN we remember that there are hidden areas of the queue that make it much longer than it looks! Not this trip, though. Lesson learned (and remembered!) We are also going to try it at night, as I have heard it is very neat after dark!

JC is awesome after dark! The riverboats have a spotlight on them and it is so cool and a whole different perspective. I love riding any ride at night..even the indoor ones!:scratchin

Ok..I'll probably get flammed for this, but we don't do Jungle Cruise anymore because of Kilamajaro Safaris!!! This is THE best way to interact with the animals!!

Now the first time I rode Jungle Cruise, I liked it. But then I rode Kilamajaro and that was awesome!!!:cool1:

If you have little ones and you think they might be afraid of the real thing, then the cruise is awesome for them. They're not in any kind of "danger":goodvibes in any way, shape, or form.

Either way, have an AWESOME trip and have fun!!!! It's Disney World after all!!!!:thumbsup2

But the Safari drivers aren't nearly as funny!!:rotfl:

been to WDW 11 times, Disneyland 5 times. We ONLY do the jungle cruise at night now. THe atmosphere is much cooler. And actually kinda spooky in the dark. THere has never been a line after dark. In June the queue during the day is actually one of the hottest i've stood in.... even in the shade.

Let's face it you do not do the ride for the "animals" you do it for the guide's spiel. However, they do not appreciate it if you recite it back to them.

Our touring plan had us getting a fastpass for the Jungle Cruise as well. But since the standby time was only about 20 minutes, we deviated and rode standby. I think the Jungle Cruise CAN have a long standby line, in which case the fastpass would be helpful. I tend to get fastpasses only when the standby line is long (more than 30 minutes) even when the touringplan says to get one.
