Jungle Cruise Debate - Who is Right?

Wow, this is bigger than when I found out there wasn't really a Santa Claus! You mean, they don't really drive and steer? When I was little, some 45 years ago, I had a Viewmaster of the Jungle Cruise and I always thought they were driving. For almost 50 years, I've been living with a misconception about the Jungle Cruise. I'm shocked!

:rotfl2:
I am another one with a DS who was allowed to "drive" the boat last year, so even without all the other posts I would still be sure it was on a track!

Our skipper was Margo, and she was FABULOUS!! DS was 8 at the time, first visit to WDW, first day of our trip. Everything about that day was pure, unadulterated magic. DS will never forget!

We asked for Margo in October, but the "suit" near the ride said she was a college program student and she had graduated (or whatever the proper term is). It's a shame she isn't there anymore because we had a BLAST with her. Our whole boat had so much fun! I hope she is doing well in her career or in her continuing studies. :)

I read this somewhere before too, AND was also told by tour-guide on our Keys to the Kingdom Tour (a Tour for Adults Only)....
They showed us how no matter which way they turned the steering wheel, the boat "had a mind of its own"!
That ride is a Hoot !! pirate: :boat:
So, What Does Your Hubby Have To Say Now ???? Just Curious !! :rolleyes1 :teeth:
