Cousin D's DW (32/f) - Will join us later in the trip.
-------------------------------
I roll over in bed...oh my head hurts....one to many Jungle Juices last night I guess. I rub the sleep from my eyes, ouch, its almost 10am. I drag myself from the bed, grab a coke from the minifridge and some ibprofin...knock them back and hit the shower. I rally the troops and flip the tv on. I can't believe this is our last full day today. We had been hoping the ESPN events would start early on Saturday, but after seeing the schedule yesterday, I realized all the stuff we had wanted to see was happening late in the day. ::sigh:: just my luck. Today we were going to the MK for the last time and trying to finish up the shopping.
We, Cousin (22) and I, head to the MK for a while...it's not really crowded at all...we spend a couple of hours here and the lines start to build. We rode Splash, saw Philharmagic, Peter Pan, HM, PoC and the CoP...we decide to head back to the hotel and meet up with the others.
Cousin (34) is feeling much better now...we're all pretty fuzzy this morning and laugh at the stuff that happened at PI last night. Good times...good memories. The kids have accumulated quite a few tickets from the arcade at the Contemporary and we take them to the arcade to collect their loot..of course we end up playing more games and collecting more useless stuff...but how many whoopies cussions is too many...I say there is no such number!
We eat lunch at the Concourse Steakhouse, GREAT meal. I head over to the gift shops and buy the gifts for my Disney Only Exchange, I ship them off to their owner. I call and make dinner reservations for the Whispering Canyon Cafe for tonight, the kids love this place and realized they hadnt been yet...Oh and the girls returned from their cruise, so the kids were dying to see their mom. We split up and head back to our respective resorts.
The three of us head to the volcano for one last time and kick back for a while with some frozen drinks. A nice lazy day in that Polynesian atmosphere is AWESOME! I am totally going to miss this place...it's officially my new favorite WDW reort...hands down, the best around.
At 7pm we meet up with the others at the Wilderness Lodge. We sit out in the far corner of the restuarant and at first are seated at seperate tables (a party of 8)...I complain, I took a later seating time because I was told I could have a table together..this was our last WDW dinner together...we wanted to enjoy it together...they fix the situation no problem.
Dinner is GREAT the two servers working our area of the restaurant are great!! Cousin (22) and I drank out first beverages pretty fast...we were thirsty....so the waitress brings us two HUGE glass soda...he at least got a huge straw..not me, she told me I had to knock it back...
too funny...seriously wheres my straw.....? You mean you really want me to....yep..no straw.
The kids think this is HILARIOUS!
We eat our weight of this GREAT spread of food and head out to the main lobby. LittleCousin (6) wants a Caricature done....his sister did it earlier in the week, now it's his turn. While he is bein gdrawn Cousin (22) and I head to the gameroom for some World Series Baseball..he beats me, 3-2 in 10 innings.
We then all head back to the Poly, just in tiem to catch Wishes from the Balcony of our room..what a way to end a perfect night. So nice, we sat in the room for a while and talked. About 11:30 the others left and we headed for bed...tomorrow we had an early mornign reservation for breakfast and then the dreaded trip home
I can't believe it's lmost time to leave..still have a little shopping to do tomorrow...then its back home....tonight I want to enjoy our last night sleeping in that comfortable environment...nothing like sleeping at WDW...does it really have to end?
Well tune in next time as I will wrap up the trip report, I'm hoping to get some pictures up this weekend and wrap it all up as well. Hope you have enjoyed. Take care everyone!
See ya real soon!
