Jungle Josh's Trip Report
Part 7:
Jungle Adventures: Family Arrives, Pop and OOOOOOOO'Hana!
The Players:
Jungle Josh (22/m) - Former WDW Cast Member, Disney Fanatic.
Cousin A (22/m) - My best friend, a little nervous, quiet type.
Little Cousin B (10/f) - First trip away from her parents, never spent more than 2 days at WDW.
Our Aunt (55/f) - Buisnesswoman, loves to spend time at WDW relaxing as opposed to running the parks 24/7, has a walking handicap.
Little Cousin C (6/m) - will arrive with his parents later in the trip...Cousin B's brother.
Cousin D (34/m) - B and C's Dad, will join us later in the trip
Cousin D's DW (32/f) - Will join us later in the trip.

Sunday July 25, 2004
Once again we have another slow day today...I awake around 8:30am...stretch, shower. gather food from the lounge for the rest of the clan. I wake them all buy opening the curtains to our room allowing the sunshine to getnly wake them from their slumber. I open the glass doors, allowing the refreshing morning air to fill the room. We eat on the balcony, watching the lake and the families passing our building. I attempt to call POFQ again..still no response on my battery charger!
Little cousin is exited this morning. Her parents and little brother are en route and should be joining us at WDW around 1pm. Although she is obviously enjoying her time with her "Cool uncles", it has been a long time since she has seen her parents and I can tell she is missing them. We decide to getdressed and head over to the Contemporary Resort this morning and hit that sweet gameroom. The others get ready and we hop the monorail to our old stomping grounds..the Contemporary.
I for one love this gameroom...Little cousin loves it mostly because of the ticket games and counter...She checks out the prizes and eyes a puppy dog (1000 tickets...sounds like a challenge for her older travelmates). We play here for what seems like hours...Cousin (22) and I easily rack up the 1000 tickets playing games like Big Haulin' and Wheel of Fortune. All thoughs years of useless timing skills learned from games like pong and packman are finally paying off
We buy her puppy and decide to explore the resort. To the Grand Canyon Concourse!
We checkout the shops, talk about some great selection! I have always enjoyed the 4th floor of the contemporary..something special about it. We do some shopping, I pick up some gifts from some of my friends and my phone rings..catching me off guard. It's My other Cousins..they have made good time and are almost at their resort. We race back to the Poly, hope in the van and head to the Pop Century to meet the rest of the crew.
We meet the crew at Pop and Little cousin is obviously ecstatic to see her parents. I think we might need a surgeon to pry her off of her father
Backstory on Little Cousins mom and dad joining us: Older Cousin (34)'s wife and her friend both combined their resources and won a contest through their work. The prize, a cruise to the bahamas for 2...Well Older Cousin decides that while she is out crusing the seas he will spend the week with the kids at WDW! So on Monday Morning she will elave with her friend for the cruise and Older Cousin wil hang with us.
The Pop Century seems to be a wonderful value resort. Its very clean and seems so fresh and new...maybe because it is! The kids love the gameroom and the food court as well. They are in the Fifties section, so we try to find a spot near the building...now this is my only complaint about the Pop...and my older cousins only complaint as well...the parking lot...STINKS ON ICE!!!! HORRIBLE planning! Might be a deturrent in returning there it was so bad.
We help gather all of the luggage and hike to the building, they are on the 2nd floor, we insert the key....it doesnt work...we try anotherkey...nope..doesnt work. So Older Cousin sprints to the front desk to check on the problem...meanwhile a Mousekeeper strolls by seeing us seemingly stranded outside of our room..we explain and she opens the door to call the front desk for us....small problem..someone elses stuff is in this room. Well turns out the front desk CM wrote down the wrong number on the map...she wrote down Older Cousins Street address instead of the correct room number (which was 2 doors down..something like 15 instead of 17) No big problem. We try the keys in the right room and presto..we're in.
The room is nice and crowd in to hang out for a while. The weary travelers have been driving since about 1am and are in desperate need of freshening up so we chit chat while they do. We have plenty of time to kill before dinner. We watch ESPN news and follow the score as the Cardinals shut out the Giants and play with the kids (little cousin (6) is beside himself! He's so excited to be at WDW!)
Once they are all fresh and ready we all head back to the Poly and meet up with our aunt who has been shopping and bought the kids an array of presents. They dig through their treasure chest of goodies, the adults are all taken aback by the view (If I've told you once I've told you a 1000 times, this is one amazing view..at least to our family it is.) After some catching up, dinner time has caught up with us. We head to O'hana.
The adults all induldge in some Island beverages before the meal...I do love a Mahi Tai! Now O'hana is a family favorite of ours and we go at elast once every trip...and once again it is grade A dining experience. I could eat those little chicken wings all day long....my personal favorite part of the meal..yes I know..thats crazy. The kids take part in the coconut races and hula hoop time. So much fun!
After dinner we head back to the room, and before we know it we're in our bathing suits on the beach playing baseball! A crowd begins to gather..i think its because of my amazing baseball skills...
unfortunatly its because the water parade will begin in 30 min. So we stop playing and grab some prime beach side seats. We watch the Electric Water Parade and make a beeline for the quiet pool. Older Cousin (34) makes a run for the bar....mm...mahi tai's....We swim until wishes and head back to the room for another wonderful viewing of htis spectacular fireworks extravaganza! It's truly awe-inspiring.
After the show we break open the Saki and sit around catching up and planning the upcoming weeks activities. Little cousin decided that she will be staying at the Pop with her parents...can't say i blame her. I do some late night paper work on my lap top..which is bleeding battery power I hate bein gsuch a bonehad..how could I leave that charger in the POFQ? 
Cousin (22) and I sit out on the balcony talking about odds and ends, sharing good old fashioned best friends type conversation. It's been a great week so far, with plenty more to come! We knock back one last chot of saki and hit the sack..tomorrow we'll hit the parks again. Tons of magic to come.
What will happen next? Will tomorrow morning greet us all with hangovers? Will Little Cousins have a blast at the MK tomorrow? Will We survive anohter e-night? Will the POFQ EVER call me back?
