We've been to WDW in June enough times now to know it's HOT. Humid and HOT. Sweat through your clothes HOT.
We've loved our trips to WDW despite the heat, and learned how to dress, how to tour (start early, break in the afternoon, swim at the hotel and then go back at night), how to cool off when needed by finding air conditioned ques and restaurants, etc.
I'm not usually a shorts person, but for WDW in the summer, I make an exception. It's just too darn HOT not to wear shorts!
So this year we're going to DLR from May 30-June 6. We've never been to California before at all. I've looked at typical June weather and it seems to say to expect 70s. However, I've also been reading a lot of DLR trip reports too, and several people still mention it being "hot". I went to Seattle last July (my only time to the west coast ever), and it was hot during the day, but really cool in the evenings. Is this similar to SoCal?
I'm stumped on how to pack. Will I need to suck it up and pack my shorts, or will I be comfortable in capri pants? Do we need sweatshirts at this time of year? This is not something I have EVER packed for a summer WDW trip.
What about shoes? We usually wear Crocs, even though they are not my usual fashion shoe of choice, but they work well for Florida in the humidity and pop up rain showers because they allow your feet to dry quickly.
Please help me know how to pack for California!
