June vs. July camping?

We are planning our next DW trip and I am needing some advice please. Both of our trips before (4 years apart) have been in early June and we loved it but we just found out that our trip next summer can't be in June. (We have a motorhome so an AC isn't a problem) How are the crowds in July? July Heat compared to June? How crowded is Christmas time? (the week after christmas?) Thanks in advance for your help!!!

We have been in July and Christmas. I'll take Christmas crowds over July heat any day. If week after Christmas means Jan 2 or later that is a good time to go. July is pretty busy also.

Thanks! So I take it's HOT in July! If we go at Christmas it would be around the 29th until the 4th. Would that be a better time to go rather than the week of Christmas? Thanks again for your help!

I don't find the heat an issue personally and love the "long" park hours that you don't get in the winter months. June heat is not but a tad difference than July (both hot & humid) typical deep south weather with thunderstorms. One thing noticeably different in July are the tour groups (which I hate). They (mostly Brazillian) are huge and LOUD We usually go April (F&G show), then August and sometimes first week of Dec. I would think the week of Christmas would be a mad house from what I've heard (never been there then) Go whenever and have fun.

July realy hot and August worse. Jan can be cold best is october and May.

We were at the Fort for 2 weeks last July - arrived on the 4th. Two words - HOT and CROWDED. Make sure you have your AC serviced before arriving; it is going to work reallllllly hard. The water in the pool was actually too warm to cool you off, at least partially because it was filled to capacity.

Don't get me wrong, any time is a good time at Disney. However, even though I hear the crowds at Christmas are legendary, they can't be too much worse than we experienced, and the mild temperatures would be a welcome trade off.

I believe it. Make sure you get a shaded site for the summer.

You can tell by my signature I avoid the summer months even though I have school age kids and it would be more convenient schedule-wise for us.

It's just not pleasant weather-wise to us. I try to hit other periods.

I can say in my experiincee Christmas crowds are much worse then July. Campground itself will probably be full either time, but parks and WDW in general worse for Christmas break. We have been on New years eve where they stop allowing people into the parks because they are all at capacity. The pools are crowded in the summer due to the heat but if you are not an all day pool person thats prob ok for you. We found most people hit the park in the mornings and do the pools in the late afternoon/early evening. So we would just always take our daughter to the pool right after breakfast and do other activities later.

I would assume July would be more crowded then June due to kids being off school but I doubt temperature would be much different.

Thank you everyone! Due to scheduling problems we can't come any other month except for July. It would be really nice if we could just miss the last 2 weeks of school in May to come but I'm sure my principal wouldn't under stand why we needed to go early. Thanks again!!
