This will be our 1st visit to US/IOA. We will be staying offsite and not purchasing the express pass. I know it will be hot and humid. Can anyone tell me what to expect?

Hot...humid...daily afternoon thunderstorms...long lines...large crowds. Drink plenty of water and pack your patience...you're gonna need it.

Terminator and Horror Makeup shows are a good way to cool off. Ice water is free at the restaurants and kiosks. Right before close, check the ride lines.

We go early year at this time. First, eat before you arrive and you must be there early. I mean park opening or before. Purchase your tickets online ahead of time. Bring a small backpack and we try to freeze or bring some really cold water. Also, ponchos help it can rain really hard. You can purchase in a dollar store or heavier ones in a CVS pharmacy type store. Without express definitely use the single rider line. Most will allow you if you ask politely to seat you with your child. It will be the best vacation ever! Hit the popular attractions first not just the nearest ones to the entrance. We save these for the afternoon and a quick exit out of the park if its raining too hard. remember to grab the map and showtimes schedule at the main gate. Good luck and enjoy!
