We have never gone to Disney in the summer. we are planning on going the last week of june. Can anyone give me some input on this time of year that has been.thanks!

We haven't been in the last week of June, but we go during the first 2 weeks of June. What I can tell you is that it is HOT. Be prepared to take lots of breaks and drink lots of water. Also, plan in plenty of shows that are inside during the middle of the day so you can get some air conditioning and cool off some. Also, the crowds will be pretty intense so go to each park with a basic plan of what you want to ride and see and about when you want to do so that you can take full advantage of Fast Pass, but be flexible enough to change when you see a short line or have to deal with a break down.

We have only been the last week of June and one thing I think you should prepare for is lots of rain. It gets very hot and believe me the rain is most refreshing but if you aren't ready for it , it could ruin your time.
Get coverups and keep them in a back pack so where ever you are you are ready for the rain. As much as we needed the break from the sun, the rain could have ruined it if we were all walking around soaked, which one day we were caight in a bad strom that lasted long enough to soak us to the bone when waiting for a shuttle after leaving the water parks.
We were already alittle wet but it took our sneaker 3 days to dry so flip flops were all we had to wear and walking in those for 3 days cause my back to go out. The crowds to me honestly weren't so bad but as I said that is the only time I was there and I figured there were going to be long lines and we were prepared for that as well. We used that time to talk with the kids and decide what we wanted to do next.
I did have the entire trip planned out from moring til night so I would recommend doing that as well. A break mid afternoon is always a good idea.
Have fun and maybe with any luck we will be there the same time as you.Fingers crossed.:wizard:

We went last year during July 4th. I was expecting the worst based on what I read here, but it really wasn't that bad. My advice is to get to all the parks at rope drop. It really made a difference in what we were able to ride and the heat. We would eat lunch at the park and then leave to go back to the hotel. We would swim or hang out in the room and cool off. Then we would head back out around dinner. So we really missed the brutal heat of the day. When we would go back into the parks in the evening it was more for dinner and to shop or watch the evening parades, not really ride anything. You could tell the families that had been there all day. They were frazzled and looked horribly sweaty!

If you plan it right, you should be fine.
