We are going to WDW 6/25/04 thru 7/1/04 and this is our first time visiting WDW during this time frame.I f you have been during this time of year I would appreciate your experience with crowds, weather, park hours and tips you could give on a visit at this time of the year?Is it best to use early entry?Do you need PS arrangements for dining?Thank you Danny:wave2:

hot and humid; hot and humid; hot and humid. might have an afternoon thunderstorm. the crowds will be building toward july 4th. definitely do EE and make PS arrangement for dining. it is always safe to have PS. have a great trip!

Hey! My family is going at the same time!

I too was concerned over the heat and crowds. However, we chose the end of June rather than Spring break because we figured the crowds would be even worse then.

I've heard from others that said they did not have any problems at that time of the year. So, I'm hopeful.....especially seeing that many people will be arriving for the big 4th of July festivities just as we are leaving. Plus, WDW has that big promo going on now where 'kids go free' which ends mid-June. So, I'm hoping more people will go then and less when we go.

I guess we just have to 'go with the flow' and make the best of it.

I've heard bringing one of those 'water fan bottles' to keeping you cooled off with helps. Along with wet wash clothes. And a big water bottle!

Good luck and have a great trip!

This will be our 3rd time going this time of year and we love it! The crowds aren't real bad until the 4th. The parks are open later and it's hot enough to enjoy the water rides and pools. We went one year between Christmas and New Year's and that is a time we will never go back again. It was cold and crowded--very, very, very crowded!!
We had always made PS seating arrangements in the past and then that time comes and we are just not hungry so we stopped doing that and just go when we want to. We do have a "loose" itinerary that we follow with the places we want to eat but have found that we can get in to most of the the places we want to without making the PS seating. I should say with a couple exceptions like Prime Time Cafe and California Grill, I always make them just to be safe. We had no problem with Chef Mickey's and other places without PS's. Have fun..maybe I'll see ya there!!

Thanks!

Always encouraging hearing from someone who has been there that time of the year! I guess my worst fear is the heat. But, we are staying at the CR and figure we can go back to the resort when it gets real hot. Or just try to find attractions that have air-conditioning!

We went for those same dates in '02. I hate to be a bummer, but the weather was so awful that I am planning another trip a different time of year so we can enjoy the parks more.
Our problem was that it was extremely rainy. Now I know, you have to go with the flow and not let a little water ruin your fun. But no matter how optimistic you are about it, the parks lose their atmosphere which is almost what I love best. All the sidewalk venders and performers are gone when its pouring and the guests start running for cover (even with rain ponchos on), our shoes got completely drenched, and it rained every single day and from what I understand, this is pretty common .... anyway, I could go on and on about the rain, but for the few hours that the sun came out, it was soooo hot and sooooo humid that we couldn't decide what was worse.

As far as the crowds go, we just followed all the advice we gained through this board and it wasn't a problem.

Go mentally prepared to deal with the weather the best you can! Definately bring 99 cent rain ponchos from home, and stuff newspapers in your shoes to dry out overnight. Oh yes, and don't forget the sunscreen and mister's for the other half of the day!

Our family ALWAYS travels to WDW at that time period and we have a blast. It's hot, but that's what one would expect for Florida in late June. Longer park hours are great. We use EE and make PS for all dinners and Character Breakfasts. We make the best of FP as well. Taking a midday break to return to our resort for a swim/nap helps. Crowds are OK, we really don't let things like that bother us. Drink lots of water and you'll be fine. Enjoy.
