June Trip: Add Waterpark or Park Hopper?

Knowing it will be more crowded in June than when we usually go to Disney (Fall), I am considering adding either the Waterpark/DisneyQuest option or the Park Hopper, but not both. It will be DH, DS13, DS9, and myself.

I am leaning towards the Park Hopper. Here's why...If we arrive at a park and feel it's too crowded (even for June...LOL!), then we can go to a different park.

I am thinking the waterparks will probably not only be crowded by visitors, but also by the locals. We are staying at The Campgounds at Fort Wilderness, so we can cool off at a pool with a waterslide. Right?

Thanks!

The cost to add hopping (or WPF&M) is $55 ($58.58 including tax) per ticket. It does not matter if it is adult or child, two day or ten days, first day of use or last day of use, the price is the same. (For a Florida Resident it is $27.50 plus tax.)

Note that to add hopping to a one day ticket is $35 ($37.28 including tax)

So if you are not sure, don't order them. If you find you do need them, then upgrade your tickets at any ticket window or Guest Relations Office. It only takes a minute or so.

If you are only planning to have one water park or Disney Quest day you are much better off purchasing separate tickets.

If you add the Water Parks Fun and More option to your MYW ticket it will cost $58.58 (including tax) per person, adult or child. It will add one WPF&M entry per day on the base or hopper ticket (but two entries on a one day ticket).

If you purchase one day water park tickets they cost $52.19 adult and $43.67 child. (Disney Quest are $45.80/$39.41) If you are an Annual Passholder or DVC Member you can purchase one day water park tickets at an approximate 10% discount.

This upgrade may be done at any Park (including water parks or TTC) ticket booth or Guest Relations Office. If it is on your room key it can also be done at the Resort Lobby Concierge.

(Note each person must have their own ticket. Even though it adds multiple entries to your ticket, you can only use one ticket for one person.)

Also, if you are planning to do three or more water park visits within a year there is a definite price advantage to purchase Water Park Annual Passes.

We have two unusual policies at the water parks concerning ticketing. Both involve use of a one day water park ticket.

One is we will allow full value of the used WP ticket to upgrade to a WP AP as long as it is within 14 days of use.

The other, which is the only time combining tickets is allowed, is we will merge a used WP one day ticket with a MYW ticket to add the WPF&M option and only charge the difference in price.

Water Parks and More and do all three! (Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, and Disney Quest). With your boys ages, they will love it! :goodvibes

How many full days will you guys have for your trip? Will you be able to "play" on your day of arrival or day of departure?

We will be in Orlando for 10 full days plus 2 half days for arrival and departure. We also have 7 day tickets to Universal. :yay:

We are going to be at DW from Jan 11-18 and we plan tentatively to do Blizzard Beach and D-Quest (Typhone will be closed for Refurb). We purchased a MYW w Hopper, but I held off on including the WP&More due to uncertainty with weather being too cool in January. I do have plans to add on a week or so before the trip after checking weather reports.

From reading above post it sounds like the WP&More option can be added at any time even after check in for just the approx $58/pp at a guest relations desk anytime. Is that correct? Is there any advantage or cost savings when considering traveling and colder weather in January to purchasing it before we arrive?

Thank you!
