June or September 2017- Help me decide

We are looking at Sept. 2017. Not sure exactly when during the month. Would like to be around for MNSSHP one night. Need to figure out soon, as the DW said "Book it" so before she changes her mind.:yay:

Not sure where U are in Texas. We live east of Austin, Bastrop County. We live our home no later than 5 AM. Our 1st o/night stay is KOA in Milton, Florida. It takes us 12 hours. Our 1st stop for gas is Buc-ees @ Baytown, Tx. Then Baton Rouge, La., Tallahassee, Florida, then Milton. Next day, we have been staying at a nice RV resort in Citrus, Florida which is little over an hour from Orlando. Next trip we plan on driving closer to Orlando. Have a safe trip in June. Not sure when our next trip is? So want to be there NOW.

Your DW sounds like mine. Once she finally says, OK, I have to jump fast.

When does MNSSHP start? I didn't even consider it since I thought we would be there too early. I picked the weekend after Labor Day figuring it would be a little slower than a holiday weekend. We've been down several times over Memorial Day weekend and it's a little nuts until Monday afternoon.

Looks like based on this year it was mainly on Sun, Tues and Fri even in Sept. Looking at crowd calenders next year some time around the 7th will be a good time to arrive.

Reading this thread I went back to 1st visit with my wife. We arrived day after Labor Day for 14 days in cabin. Conversion to The Mouse Side started for her once she saw the Cabin. Weather wise she never again wants to go at that time of the year. By 11am temps and humidity were both in mid 90's. Crowd levels by today's standards were low but we mde mistake of Park hopping never again. Now we go in Jan crowds are low temps cooler just works better for us Enjoy trip with your family. Hint we froze 3 bottles of water every night and I carried them wrapped in a towel in my backpack most days there were enough but some days we needed a lot more

I actually carry a 3 liter camelbak full of water in to the park. It fits inside my backpack that carries all my camera gear. Nice part is it gets lighter during the course of the day. :drinking1

I'm expecting September to be much like May as for weather. I usually go down in June/July/August so I'm ok with the heat. It will be my DS and neices first time at WDW or the Fort, so I'm expecting a great time.

And my DW has been doing the frozen water bottle thing for a while. Comes in really handy at races, baseball games or anyplace else during the summers here.
