June or Memorial Day

Any thoughts on which week will be less crowded: May 30 to June 5 including Memorial weekend, or June 5 to 12? I want the least amount of crowds possible! This is our first summer trip in awhile and we have been spoiled by traveling in the off season! Thanks for the advise!

Probably the second of your choices. It won't encompass a major holiday, and some schools will still be in session.

We went May 31st thru June 6th this year and it was crowded, but it was also Gay week which we didn't know about when we booked our trip so I believe that's where the influx of people came from.

Are FL schools still in session June 5 - 12? That is really the easiest week for us as our school is finished May 28 if we don't use any snow days. I will be very safe planning to leave June 5th. I was afraid it would get busy very quickly in June.

Normally, FL schools are out by Memorial Day. Some may be in longer this year due to missing so many days with the hurricanes. We were there the week of Memorial Day this year, and I didn't find the crowds too bad. The summer is going to be crowded no matter what, but going before mid-June is you best bet.

I think June 5 -12 will be better for us as we will have a bit of down time after school is out to allow for snow days. I hope that the kids in FL don't have to make up all the time lost due to the hurricane. Poor kids will be in school half of the summer!
