Hello - I am new to the cruise forum. I'm considering a cruise next summer with my kids, my dad, and at least one of my brothers and his family. My brother prefers going in the Summer.

I've been poking around and I can't find information for any sailing dates for DCL (or any other cruise line for that matter) for June or July yet. Does anyone know when those dates will be released?

If anyone out there has cruised in June/July, could you share your experience with me?

Thanks!

My family and I were on the July 13, 2003 Wonder and I think July is

great because the weather is usually good

hot

very expensive - other than Christmas, I think it is the most expensive time - even the beginning of August is less expensive

ship is full but that doesn't matter - not like parks (which we go to first)

As far as 2005 resevations, 3 and 4 day WOnder can be booked for the summer of 2005 but not through the web site (DCL and TA only), as far as I know

We cruised June 29 - July 6th 2002, Magic Eastern and it was unbearably HOT! In-laws took whole family and we had Cat 5 verandah rooms, it was very expensive because it was summer, even through Costco where we saved $1,000 per room. We are cruising again this year Feb 7th and are saving almost 50% of the cost of the first cruise. The heat is what I remember the most, we could not open the verandah door for more than a few seconds or the heat and humidity would take over and it would take a whole day for the air conditioner to cool it down again. And yes the ship was full to capacity, not that it probably isn't most of the time, but on the 4th of July, they tried to have a balloon drop in the main lobby/atrium and it was sooooo hot and crowded even the kids wanted to get out of there. Just my humble opinion of course
