I suppose the beginning of June or the end of August are out? :D

What they said -- I would choose beg. of June or end of August. I think your two choices will both be crowded, but probably more so in June because of the 4th holiday weekend in July coming up.

We've been two times in June. Sure it gets crowded, but if you plan and use EMH and FP you will be fine.
We tried going last August but the first hurricaine wiped that out. We will be returning again this June.

We managed to squeeze in a day at MK before we left cuz of Hurricane Charley. August is hurricane season..although most southern schools go back early August. We are going end of June this year. Will probably be just as crowded as August, but less of a threat of hurricanes!! Don't want to do that again!! :sad2:

Keep in mind that Hurricane Season technically starts June 1st in the Atlantic. Although, most of the worst storms in history happened later in the summer and in fall.

Then again, we learned that history didn't teach us all there is to know about hurricanes.

I'm going end of june as well. have no choice, kids too big to take out of school anymore and all their camps start in July.

is it as hot as August? we have done August twice before...really hot, had to go backto room midday..
that is why stay onsite during hot months....

october is my favorite time to go!

well 5 more years & kids will be out of school and DH and I can go whenever we please!!!!

yippee

We had the same discussion at our house. My DH looked up the historical weather for Orlando. There was like a degree or two difference in June and August. Less rain days in August too. We are going to try August this year-2nd week. June was too rainy for us a few years ago. We plan on taking it easy-no comando days, with breaks in the afternoon. Can't wait.

Count on it raining every day in the afternoon in summer. This pattern really doesn't end until at least September.

We also have kids so we are pretty much limited to the summer months too. We have been in both June and August. After our August trip, I swore I would never go in August again. While there isn't much a temperature difference, there is a definite increase in humidity in August.

If you do decide on August (the crowds are a little smaller), please plan to go back to room in the middle of the day. If you don't, you will be completely wrung out by 4:00 and your evening plans will be shot. (Especially with kids!!)

We take this break no matter what time of year we go. When we come back into the parks around 3:30 or 4:00, a lot of people are leaving. It is so nice to come in refreshed. We see a lot of other families that are clearly on their last leg at that time of day. We can enjoy dinner and the evening activities without getting on each other's nerves and putting up with fussy kids. (Our kids are older, 11 and 8, and we find we all still need this break!)

You'll have a great time no matter when you go!! :flower1:

Busiest part of hurricane season is going to be August and September.

Usually. And there aren't USUALLY 3 hurricanes that cross Central Florida in one year. :)

It is hard to make definitive statements about weather.
