June or August?

Hello everyone! We're planning a trip to California and want to visit Disneyland for 3 or 4 days (2 adults and 2 kids). Which week would be better? The week of June 5th or the week of August 7th?

We are going that week in August. We are hoping the RR and Fantasmic are back up and running. However if they are, I'm sure it will be crazy crowded. And hot!! So very hot in August!!
We've been in June, and I love it because it's a little cooler, and less crowded. Unfortunately June didn't work for us this year. If I could have gone in June I would have much preferred it.

I'm editing to add in June you would get the MSEP which I believe ends June 19. But the RR and Fantasmic will probably be down.

I'd suggest week of June as I think kids will still be in school?

June by far. The weather is usually nice in June but horrendous in August. Its always crowded now so that is a constant 12 months a year.

I've heard that Grad Nights can be annoying (I've never experienced them myself). June 6,7,9, and 10 are Grad Nights. Something to consider.

We prefer the weather in August as we go to the beach as well.

I believe the term is "half dozen of one, six of the other"! They both have positives and negatives.

As others have said, the weather is generally better in early June, but August isn't unbearable. It's no Texas in August, that I can assure you!!

I would guess that the crowds would be roughly the same at both times, more locals in June because local APs are still valid, and more tourists in August.

Main Street Electrical Parade will still be going in June, but I think will be gone before August. Some things like the train and Fantasmic should be (hopefully) open by August.

Me personally, I would like the better weather in June, and I would love to see the MSEP at DL! So my vote is June.
