Anyone want a no buy thread this month?? Or is there one already it is the first and we leave in July to disney. sooo I am going to try real hard to not spend extra.

I'm joining! We just decided we are going in November, sothis month starts our savings plan for it! Spent all last month getting ahead on bills and car notes so hopefully that will help!

Our only splurge for the month is tonight's surprise party for our daughter's 10th birthday!

we just finished 8th grade graduation and spent $135 on dinner just for my family (we never eat out in general now I know why)

Rules I think everyone is different(make your own) but my goals
since kids are out of school is eat up the food in the house as I generally spend 300 ish a week I am hoping to cut this way down.
I am going to aim for 20 $0 days and $100 total for anything that is not gas groceries

I will record $0 days and all that is spent (except household bills)
today so far

june 1 $14.02 walmart spray for kids hair tank and skort balance of 100 85.98
Gas- $43.35
grocery-62.86

Oh I am going to add gas and groceries as we go to see what I spend during the month (I do not live on a budget so I have no idea)

I'm in. We have never really done a budget in our house and I am really starting to see the effects of that now. For this month I am going to put all of my spending. This way I can hold myself accountable and try to get a budget nailed down.

June 1- $26 gas $54 clothes for family pictures
June 2- $0

I'm SO in! Yesterday didn't work out because it was my birthday, although I'd set aside some $ for that in advance out of a very minor "birthday bonus" I got at work. I'm not including that in my June totals. So starting now, spending nothing! This month I made a budget and set aside a specific amount for transportation, groceries and treats like coffee, eating out, so I have no excuse for spending anything extra. Glad to have this thread!

06/01:$13.00 Usual tag sale date every Saturday with DH. Got a NIB acrilic juice jug that sells for $20.00 in Costco's for $3. (I alreaady have 2), and a $300 stereo system DH got for $10.

Just got a call from MIL she is coming for the 4th of July and since I already bought our tickets to the fireworks I have to order hers tomorrow and try to get her close to us guess tomorrow won't be a no buy day either

Oh and I need to add to my budget DS13 birthday is July 5th so I need to get a gift this month lol going to try to keep it $200

June 2- $93.57 gas and groceries for two weeks.

I shouldn't have to spend much else this week aside from maybe an ice cream trip for DD on her last day of school. This weekend is graduation for a family member and requires an out of town hotel stay so food also! Ouch!

After that my goal is 17 no buy days! Adding in 20 work out days!

1st - 0
2nd - dinner out on my birthday $30, groceries $58 (how that happened I will never know, usually it's twice that.)
3rd - $27 - CVS run for necessary personal items
4th - $26 (Bought a dress for work with some money I was given for my birthday. . .)
5th - $9.49 - I broke down and bought the Ghost Brothers of Darkland County MP3. . .
6th - $35 for Gas $68 Sam's Club, including $15 for some shorts I probably didn't need and could've bought at the thrift for less than $5.
7th - $35 Monthly charitable donation to Restavek Freedom.
8th - $31 Thrift store (went in search of shorts, came out with 2 pairs of work pants, a brand new parka etc. . .but no shorts)
9th - $30 lunch out

Am I EVER going to have another no buy day???????? Tomorrow we will do our weekly shopping and will buy a bunch of garden borders. . .
