Still debating our next years hols & can't even decide when to go :headache:

WE will have to decide soon as I need to put my holidays in at work

Todays suggestion is end of June Beg of July

DD will have finished her exams it will be mine & DS birthday

Whats weather like & more important how busy?

Do let me know if you've been then

Many thanks

The weather is scorching that's for sure, July is probably one of the hottest times to go and in addition with the UK Summer Holidays in full flow I would say it is busier too.

If you have to choose I would say June, however to be honest as we have found recently summer can be very difficult around the parks as it is just so hot.

I'd have to agree, have only been in mid-summer once when we travelled during the last week of the school summe term. Even though all of the British schools were still in session everywhere was PACKED and the weather was very hot, made walking around and the long queueing almost unbearable. I would probably choose June as it may be slightly cooler and (hopefully!) it won't be as busy.

i was there this year end June to July, and was quite busy especially Disney. Universal while busy, did not worry me as we had FOTL for staying onsite and is something i would recommend, even for 1 night. The Americian schools finish for holidays beginning of June, so basically there holiday season, but do not think it really matters when you go , just be prepared for crowds, and have a good time

We went in July last year and weather was great a little hot some days to be honest ! but the parks were very busy which was not great standing in queues in that heat !

We have just returned home after 3 weeks in orlando and to be honest the weather was a real let down one decent week followed by two weeks of blanket cloud :guilty: although it was hot would of been nice to see the :sunny:

On the plus side though there was no queues at any of the parks

Don't forget that most of the US schools will be going in June! It will be busy both months.

We went late August once which wasn't too bad. We always go in Sept (well, from now onwards anyway) and it's fantastic!

We too have recently returned from a 3 week stay, the 1st 2 weeks was extremely hot and sunny, whilst if you are relaxing by the pool I agree it is nice to have the sunshine but if you are round the parks I would rather have cloudy (and cooler) weather anyday.
Walking around any of the parks when temps. are in the mid 90s is not ideal at all.

If you speak to any of the locals in Orlando they would say if you can avoid July as even they find it too hot.

If you can - go for June.It makes such a difference when you go out of UK school holidays.
I know the majority of visitors are still from US - but its never failed to be true yet!!!

Either way, youll have a great time,

Lynn

We went end of June beginning of July last year and to be honest that would probably be my last choice of times to go. It was very hot, very humid and very crowded. We had thunderstorms most days and hurricane Dennis to contend with too. There were lots of huge groups of South American teenagers everywhere in the parks which was annoying as they have no concept of queueing and were very loud.
4th July was great to experience and there are ways to plan to avoid the worst of the crowds and heat if you must go then, but if there is a choice, choose another time.

Thanks for all the replies.

Anyone else?

we were there in July this year went out on the 6th. It was hot but we found the first week not to humid and the parks we found to be not that busy. 10-15 mins queueing at Universal MGM the same. We have been several time both in July and October so because we have seen most of the parks we don't go commando round them so maybe that is why we cope better with the heat etc.

If you can only go in June or July don't panic.
