June, July or Aug?

We are planning a trip for next summer. We usually go during off seasons but I now have a teenager in highschool and missing school would be a big hassle. We would like to buy APs and use them for 2005, 2006. In 2006 we would like to go the first week of June.

So here's my question, when is the best time to go. Crowds are the big factor - not weather! We could go anytime from mid-June to mid-August. Are the crowds usually bigger right after school lets out in June? Or, does it really matter because Disney is vamped up for the mass influx of vacationers? What do you summer experts say?

We have been many times in the summer as we don't want the kids to miss school either. I usually recommend the early/mid August time frame to people because most schools in the south have already started back by then. I have seen other people on the boards say that the week AFTER July 4th is slow because so many people take time off for the 4th and are back at work by then. Either way it will be hot and muggy, GREAT for swimming IMO. We will be going summer 05 also but have not picked a time yet. We are also planning another trip, to Hershey, Pa for next summer and family members are meeting us so we have to plan that one around their schedule first. Good luck, and have fun planning.

Depends on when school is out. We get out June 4th, leaving the 7th. Crowds don't max out till the 3rd week, staying pretty constant (except for 4th of July week) until the 3rd week of August. It rains a lot more (and is hotter) in August, so it depends on how early in June you can go Last week in June/first week in July is the worst for crowds- avoid it like the plague
