Good Morning Guys !:surfweb:
Tomar checking in...on this sunny sat...after a fri. of Monsoon weather here in New Jersey....:umbrella: UGH...
The icky burn is healing nicely...and Im starting to put vitiman E on it...but honestly...I think that Im doomed to be looking at an ugly mark on my forearem for a longggggg time:sad2:
MKY- Your trip is getting very close now !!! YIPEE !!
Hope your foot is feeling much better...and your ready for the amazing Halloween Parade !!:hmghost: :mickeyjum :hmghost: :sulley: :ccat:

EE22- I know you`ve been having a busy week :teacher: Hope you can get some down time this weekend..
and....I sure hope that your foot is feeling better too..pixiedust:

TP2- I hope your burn is getting better..:wizard: ..how is the vitiman E working for ya ? I don`t seem to see much difference...it still red and brown...but I`ll keep on applying it for a while..and see what happens...:rolleyes1

Candi- thank you for the info about taking the vitiman orally...:goodvibes
Right now...I`m back on my nebulizer ( I have Broncial Asthma and it`s been kicking in this past week)....grrrrrrrrr....
But I will keep it in mind :cloud9: ......

Have a great weekend everyone !!!:grouphug:

Tomar: So sorry you need the nebulizer. DD3 has been having problems this week too. She is doing better today. Hopefully you will be better soon.

EE22: I know it is fruitless but I would not give up hope. No news is good news.

MKY: How is that foot doing after your shot? Hopefully much better and your do over trip will be much more enjoyable.

Candi: I applied for the moms panel but was rejected. It is fine though, don't know that December would have been the best time to pack up and go on vacation. I have too much going on here to just leave. And the thought of pulling the kids from school was not really sitting well with me.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I am going to finish up Halloween costumes.

Well....I applied for and was sent a "Thanks but no Thanks" letter as well....from the Moms Panel.....I tried to elaborate as I do in my TR`s...but no go....
I think any one of us could have been chosen.....in my eyes....We`re ALL the BEST planners :flower3: ...and any one of us gals could have contributed our knowledge in the best way !!!!!!:cloud9:
Sooooo for now....I`m content to plan our vacations to the world ...".EXCLUSIVELY" !!!!;) :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
Happy Halloween costume making TP2 !!!!:hmghost: :hmghost: :hmghost:

Hi everyone. It sounds like everyone is on the mend with feet and burns but the asthma is getting to everyone.

It is allergy season for me again. Once the leaves start to drop, the mold gets me. I was sneezing so hard yesterday, I almost drove off the road. Good thing it was early and the road was not busy. I managed to stay in my own lane but not by much. :lmao:

Hope everyone is done well. Thanks

Hiya everyone!

1 month to go! Tommorrow planning on doing some wardrobe stuff. Switch to winter > so will put aside shorts etc.. . for vacation. The 1st start of packing. We also never put away the suitcases, just put out of the way & waiting to go again.

Well, I got my letter saying no thanks for the disney panel too. It said, something about sooooooooo many entries etc.. . and that they plan to do something else in the future? So stay tuned?

My foot is still in good shape following the shot. Hopefully, it will stay that way. I don't think I could stand going backward now. Its been 1 week and holding.:wizard:

Lots of asthma at work. I have been taking singulair for a while now, but everyone is starting with colds / sinus infections and hoping not to catch that. My asthma is behaving (so far).

Hope our burn crew is still healing. Yes, it is common to have a scar or red mark where it was at least for a while.

We had a winnie pooh blustery day today. high 70's and windy. Just beauitful. Of course I worked all weekend > so next should rain?

Hope everyone, had a great weekend. mky:cutie:

Well MKY - I wish I were 30 days out like you are. We are 137 from our March trip to OKW.

My mom is going to have some surgery so once we know when that will be we are going to do a weekend trip to an indoor water park in Ohio. It is only about 2.5 hours from our house to Sandusky and they have three indoor water parks to select from. Not as much fun as Disney but it will have to do.

I promised the kids we would do this since I have been working so much. We have been planning since September but have not had a weekend free until the middle of November. The end of November will bring year end and a physical inventory that takes days to recover from.

As for the burn crew, don't give up hope that the scars will fade. :hippie: I have some scars that took a couple of years for the colour to fade to normal. I am so white that I glow in the dark so the scars really stand out until they are very faint.

Hope everyone got out a little this weekend. :thumbsup2

MKY: So glad your foot is doing better. Your trip is getting so close, I bet you are so excited knowing that you will be able to get around better.

I got the same exact letter about the Moms panel MKY. I can't wait to hear what else they have up their sleeve. I would love a job planning family vacations. I don't really need the free trip, just some pocket cash would be fine with me.

Thanks for all the health advice once again. My burn is actually fully healed. I knew mine we no where near as bad as Tomar. DD3 is doing better today. We had to give her a treatment during a party yesterday. That was rough. Still have not gotten everything down yet. All the kids were running around and we knew she shouldn't be running with them but how do you tell a 3 year old she can't play. Right after she needed that nebulizer. I guess I should just be thankful that we have it.

Candi: It is helpful for me to hear that a lot of people are suffering this week. At least I know that hers is not out of the norm. Sorry about your mom needing surgery. Hope all goes well.

Tomar:We had the same wonderful weather this weekend. Actually had the girls in shorts and tanks today. It is getting crazy because I packed up most of the summer stuff and I have to keep going to the attic to find matching tops or shorts. I refuse to do laundry on the weekend, I have all week for that, so I just keep going up there and bringing more down. Starting to make me crazy.

Hope your burn starts to get better soon. I have been taking multivitiams under the advice of my doctor  and I noticed that my burn picked up on the healing process. Probably my imagination but my scar from an old surgery also seemed to fade. Hope your breathing has improved. I never realized how stressful asthma is. During that monsoon on Friday I was doing a treatment on DD3 when the power flashed. I have to get a back up plan because you just never know when we won't have electricity.

EE22: Hope all is well and you are rested.

TP2, a back up plan for emergencies = Try teaching them to use an inhaler with a "spacer". Some kids never catch on, but I have seen a few young ones do ok. It is not as effective (same drug > but most people don't inhale them right) but for a quick fix, (your out at the mall etc.. .) or if your power goes off. A spacer is a small plastic piece that fits over the end so you can inhale it slower at your own pace. It will take some training > again make it a game.

Maybe disney is going to let all of us losers > work for cro from your home.;) I would do it just for getting ap discounts when they come out.:thumbsup2

Candi, Ohio sounds nice. I will have to look into that. I am located south of chicago and in NE illinois. We had been to cincinati and kings island park but not sandusky. Thought they only had large coasters. Sis won't ride them.

ee22, Your chicago trip is approaching. :woohoo: You must be very excited to "get away" and have your girls weekend.

Tomar, If you rent from disney don't you recieve housekeeping daily? I know it was that way years ago at BW, but someone said that on a board question here that you don't. I thought that was just dvc that didn't?

In 45 minutes I will be down to 29 days. Can you tell we are excited?

Ok, If you where going to disney for thanksgiving day > which park would you go to? Major sites say: stay out of MK, & that is our plan BUT, if we get there I know, I am going to wish we went to mk anyway? What do you guys think?

mky:cutie:

Hi All...I'm alive, but busy!!
MKY I can't believe your trip is so close now. My friend just returned and said HM is AMAZING!!

I wouldn't do MK on Turkey day unless you go EARLY and then leave when it gets busy. You've been enough that it wouldn't matter too much if you didn't see tons of stuff. I want to see pics of the new castle look!!

Candi: my old stomping grounds are Mt. Clemens, MI:goodvibes

I never got an email from Disney. :sad1:

I think of you guys all the time, but I'm just always running it seems.
Last week of football!!!

MKY: I would feel the same way about MK. As EE22 said, being that you have been so much you probably are not looking to get on rides. I would want to be there just to soak up the atmosphere. You have ap's so it is not really a days admission you are losing. I would make sure to have an ADR for the day in the park and not really expect too much more. Maybe icecream on a bench and watch the parade from Frontierland. Stay far from Main Street though.

EE22: Glad to hear you are still alive. Maybe once football ends you will have more time.

mky:cutie:

Hi guys !! :goodvibes
OK...OK....so I`m not getting any e-mail notices again from our thread.... ....DRATS !!
I have to check-in every now and then just to catch-up....so please forgive the tardyness of my replys guys OK?....HMMM I wonder what`s up ?:confused

TP2- MKY is perfectly right with the asthma treatment of DD....when Im out ....I use "AsthmaCort"...it`s an inhaler with an extended tube...it DOES help me much better when I can`t use the nebulizer....and "NOTE"...that would be when Im in the "world".:cloud9: ...cause I HATE to lug the nebulizer there....I feel that Im at least free of it for a while ! LOL
Im resigning to the fact that I have to use it..when I run up the ramp to catch the Monorail now...I was very very short winded this year...I don`t know if I was still on the mend from the pneumonia or what...but it DID happen :headache:

MKY- First let me say that I`m so glad that your foot is statis quo
Your gunna enjoy this trip Im sure !!!:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
Second- This is how "MouseKeeping " works at DVC....If your renting from a DVC member....you are only intitled to the Mousekeeping we get...:)
If your Renting From Disney (as in calling for AP or regular ressies from CRO)...you are intitled to mousekeeping everyday !;)
I know this from the year that we all met on the code board....I took the AP rate at SSR from CRO.....and we recieved Mousekeeping everyday that we had the AP rate from Disney....when we went back to our Points...the Mousekeeping went back to the regular DVC way....
TIP:....When you check in- Tell the CM at the Carriage House that you guys have ressies made through CRO....and that you should be getting mousekeeping everyday !! :thumbsup2
29 DAYS !!!!!! YAAY !!:hmghost: :sulley: :donald: :ccat: :mickeyjum

PS: I recieved the same letter you guys did...with Promises of more to come for us "Disney Dedicated folks"

EE22- We`re coming up to the 7 month mark soon !!!:dance3: :dance3:

Candi- Enjoy you upcoming trip !!!! Sounds like fun....:goodvibes

hiya everyone!

EE22, I think it is a good sign that you have NOT gotten the email. This might mean you made the first cut? :dance3:

I agree, We have planned on mgm for thanksgiving & have ressies at primetime 50's. Being at SSR the 1st 6 days we planned not to do mk until we moved to poly. That will be hard, but makes sense.

Tomar, thanks for the housekeeping advise. That is what I remember. I will do laundry on vacation but not garbage.:confused3

Of course, being off today, Its bears weather over nite. And I woke to my phone at 5am "do you want to work....." OO no> winter is here.

mky:cutie:

Hi Guys !:goodvibes
It seems Im having trouble with this thread !...I just posted a longgggggg reply...and its not showing up !! DRATS...!:headache:
Im trying it all over again...and I posted on the teck board as well...
Forgive me for not answering sooner...as Im not even getting any e-mail notifications either

TP2- I use the plastic entension as MKY is saying ...it works well when Im not at home...and I don`t have the nebulizer (as when Im at WDW)....I use the one called "AsthmaCort"...it`s a slower and sure-er treatment :)

MKY- first....Im so happy that your foot is "Statis Quo" !
Your gunna have a blast on this trip....Im sure !!;)

Second- This is how "Mousekeeping" works at DVC....
If you are renting from Disney (CRO)...you are entitled to Mousekeeping every day of your ressies....I know this...because the year that we all met on the code thread....I made ressies with our AP`s from CRO for the weekend and we recieved Mousekeeping every day of that ressie...when we went back to our points ressies...we recieved Mousekeeping the DVC way !:)
TIP:....Mention this to the CM`s when you check into the carriage house !
29 DAYS !!!! YAAAY !:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Candi- Sounds like a fun mini vacation ...Have fun !!:woohoo: :woohoo:

EE22- we`re coming up on our 7 month mark !!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Have a great week everyone !:grouphug:
PS...I recieved the same "other things are in the works for us" letter....It`s noice to know that Disney is thinking of us anyway !!

MKY and TOMAR: Thanks for all the asthma advice ladies. My BIL also told me about a portable nebulizer that works on batteries. I have a list of questions for the doctor. I can't stand that everyday I am faced with something new. I would rather call once and take care of all my questions.

MKY: Very hard to stay away from MK. I read that because we have the little ones we should stay away because it will make the other parks seem boring. I did that both years and we all felt like the vacation did not start until we hit MK.

I also agree that EE22 not getting a letter is good news that she made it to another round. What are the chances of the rest of us all hearing back and not her.

Well, the Disney bug is definately instilled in my family now. DD8 swore she never wanted to go back again after getting sick on vacation. She saw the new commercial with the stay at Cinderellas castle and all things have changed. DD6 keeps telling me that because she did not get to go on any favorate rides this year she NEEDS to go back. DD3 is just in love with princesses and plays with the castle playset we got 2 years back. She takes it to bed with her everynight and plays with it all day. It has gotten more use than any other toy we have. We shall see. Even DH didn't flip when one of our toys from the park broke last night and I joked and said guess we will just have to go back to get another one.

Tomar: Forgot to say that I was having the same problems. I am still not always getting the notices but sometimes my posts don't go through right away.

Hi all...well, I have one week off between football and basketball and that's the week that DH is going out of town. Not rest for me....oh well. The days go by faster till the trip is all I know:cool1:

Dh just set off the alarm on the car...he drives me MAD!!!

No email from Disney still and the new deadline is tomorrow so I'd say that's a no go. I've checked my other email account and my spam folders...nothing.:confused3

How am I just now finding this???? I'm so obsessed w/ our June trip that I'm on here constantly and for some reason thought this thread was for 2007, not 2008.... silly me! I'm so glad I checked it today so I can join in w/ some fellow super-planners!!! :)

We'll be in WDW June 13-21, hoping to tack on a few extra days in front or back (just have to convince dh!).... :)

Hiya everyone,

MyAAbat...., Welcome. Yes, This thread is originally from 2006, then continued through our trips this year (2007) & will now continue for 2008. Yes, we probably all should be considered super planners. If there's a question someone will know.:wizard: June is a great time to go to disney. Very nice weather. Have you been to disney often? Or is this your 1st trip? Looks like you have a nice family, to travel with.

TP2, sounds like your starting to lay down some ground work.:rotfl: Maybe you will be on the summer band wagon, again. How much did you pay your DD for her comments?

EE22, Hang in there! popcorn:: No news is good news! Your our lone hope now, for the panel.

Tomar, I never get notices? I just pull us up 1st after I fly through email.

:cheer2: 28 days:cheer2: mky:cutie:

MKY: You always make me laugh. You would think I paid her, just really good advertising on the part of Disney. I don't know if we can even swing it this year. My sister is getting married in August and I am matron of honor. All the girls are in the bridal party too. Going to be an expensive year for us. I am just going to have to live through all of you guys. I can't believe you are going back in 28 days. I am so excited for you.

EE22: You need a break. I don't think you ever sleep.

AA: Welcome to the thread. We have been going strong for a couple of years now. Seems someone always has a trip on the horizon.

Tomar: How is that burn? Mine is completely healed. I can't believe what a difference all the medicine made in the healing process.

party: party: party: party:

I WASHED PRACTICE FOOTBALL PANTS FOR THE LAST TIME THIS SEASON TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
