We are finally home!!! The trip was so awesome! We are already talking about our next trip and possibly joining the DVC.

It was fun meeting up with mouseaddicts... I've never done anything like that before.. meeting someone from on here or anywhere online.

Well, I'm working on getting my pictures uploaded and editing my photo pass pictures.. I'll get some on here soon!

Hi VMK Chloe! :wave2: It was great meeting you!!! I'm glad y'all had a safe trip home. Hopefully you will get to come back SOON! :goodvibes Did you do the DVC tour while you were here?

MKY: I know what you mean about the room being out of reach soon! That's why we're here this year - and only for 3 nights! It's expensive, but it is worth EVERY PENNY just to have that view for a few days! There is nothing like waking up to the castle in the morning!!! :cloud9:

We do not have a laptop - I am using the hotel computer in our room. At this time, they have the FREE test for Disney's Online Concierge with high speed internet access in the CR rooms. I have no idea how long it will last, but it sure is nice! :surfweb:

HAPPY BELATED B-DAY TOMAR!!! I'm sorry I didn't post that sooner :headache: but we've sorta been riding rides, etc. :rolleyes1

TP2 - I saw someone with a Niagra Falls backpack at the park the other day & thought of you. I told DH "we should go to Niagra Falls sometime" and he looked at me like I had three heads! I guess he'll plan a trip when Disney builds a resort there! :rotfl:

EE22 - I have some really cute character photos ... I thought of you every time we jumped in front of the camera! Of course, we don't have nearly as many as you .....

Okay - this is it - we are leaving today
I just wanted to jump on here & post before everyone gets up & we pack up to go home. I have a TON of great pics to post ..... if I can figure out how! :rotfl2:

Have a great day everyone & I'll "see" you soon!

VMK: So glad to hear you made it home safely. I know that driving can be torture. Can't wait to hear about your trip and see some pictures.

Mouseaddicts: Can't wait to see your view. It must have been wonderful. Have a safe trip home.

Tomar: So glad I did not miss the big day. :bday: :cake: :bday: Hope you have a wonderful week.

EE22: Either this is a REALLY long track meet or your computer must be on the fritze.:scared1: Haven't heard in a while. Hope all is well.

Mickey: I still need to catch up with you to plan a day to catch up during our trip. When are you leaving?

VMKprincess: chloe & Mouseaddicts, So glad you had a great trip! How where the crowds? compared to last year? Heat? We are expecting the worse (so as not to be dissappointed).

Tomar, you are so close! Yesterday, I got a call on my cell (at mall) and it was the dvc. Checking to see if I wanted info. I told them I was interested in the contempary. she said "i have no info on that". Hope your b-day was great. We went to max's party on friday nite.

mouseaddict's, so what is your countdown now? What floor where you on? Any problems with the room? I heard not much storage? bathroom sinks? Is there still a sink in with the toliet? How was the beds?

ee22, hope you had a great holiday. And the kids are doing well with all the events.

tp2, we are getting closer! today i am down to 38 days. :woohoo: Thinking about getting luggage down to air-out.

Tonight we went to see Ratatoulle....Sooooooo Cute ! :goodvibes
My DH is not a fan of anything in the Rodent family....ROTFL....but he thought it was very cute as well !!! :goodvibes

TP2- Thank you for the birthday wishes.:goodvibes .This is the week of checking and re-checking things for me... I think I have everything under control...except my stomach...definately a case of the nerves  ...ick

MKY- glad that Max`s Birthday went well :woohoo: ...
about the contemporary....I`m hoping that the new construction...might be DVC...:cloud9: ...no-one seems to know for sure....but it certainly would be nice to have a DVC option on the monorail loop !!!
Wonderful to know that you might consider joining there... if it is ! :yay:

EE22- Hope your having FUN !!!!! :cheer2:

I thought the crowds were tolerable. Crowded, but fine! The heat was bad to us... cause it was our first trip ever to Florida. However, we got home.. and it's worse here! lol We got to do a lot more than I ever thought we would be able to.. and in less time..

we ended up only using 5 of our 6 days... Wednesday we took off completely.. went to cocoa beach and relaxed. We needed it!

I'm working on uploading all of my pictures.. I need to go through them and weed out the bad ones... and edit where I want to edit.

The one and only one I have of mouseaddicts and I.... turned out bad... but that's cause my hubby took it and he doesn't have a clue how to take good pictures. lol that's why I take them all! He got me looking away, with my mouth open and I was chewing gum which you can see.. so aggravating lol He just did it and got it over with I think.

I really miss the World now! I want to go back :( We are getting back to reality and hubby goes back to work tomorrow.

No we didn't get to find much about DVC while there.. but my brother has it and we have learned a lot from him.. and then one night while there... I was watching the DVC channel.. since every channel was related to Disney some how it seemed lol. Falling asleep to Hannah Montana every night got kinda annoying so, I switched it to that to learn something! lol

I have uploaded all of the pictures to my kodak gallery.. if anyone would like to see them, you can pm me your email address and I will gladly send you an invite to view the albums. It may be awhile before I have the trip report done. It was a lot quicker to add the whole albums to my kodak gallery... it's gonna take some time to add them to photobucket! lol Plus i'll have to really weed through them.

VMK: Welcome home. I know what you mean about needed a day off. This year I planned it so that we have a day off between each park day. I have passes left from last year so we are not buying the 10 day passes which we did in the past. We won't have a car so we won't be able to hit the beach but I figure between the pool and renting a boat and playing minature golf we should be able to keep ourselves busy. How was minature golf? Do you remember the prices to play? I just want a ballpark. When we went to Niagara Falls they wanted like $25 per person to play which is insane to me. We did not play and quite honestly I did not see many people playing. I just don't want to get there and its an insane price and we have second thoughts or my DH gets cranky and then the day is ruined. I would love to see pictures. I will send a pm.

Tomar: I know what you mean about the stomach. I get the same way, always thinking I am going to forget something or leave water on somewhere. Then we go on this last minute trip to Niagara and we literally threw things in the car and left in the middle of the night. We just ran through the house like crazy and left. I thought to myself that I can't believe how stressed I get when going to Florida and I was able to do this trip no problem. Maybe it has more to do with flying than anything else. I am not sure. Or maybe we are really just SO excited to go to the World that it is another way to think about our trip and plan for it.

I was thinking of taking the girls to see Ratitoulle too. I saw a long clip of it and I was kind of creeped out with the rat running through the kitchen. I have some mixed emotions on it. They REALLY made him life like. The computer animation is wonderful but with the rat it is kind of nasty to me.

Hi Everyone:love:

We are back. Long track meet it was!! It went for a whole week and we were only there for 3 days. It was the Youth Nationals and we were in Lisle, IL. Not much there. We left on the 4th and returned home last night. Sat and Sun were fun days after DD's competition. DS didn't do as well as he would have liked. He placed 10th, but should have placed higher. We ran into a few issues...like the measurement was in meters and he didn't know how far he was throwing. It's tough competing when you aren't at home in your own bed and eating your own food. He didn't adapt as well as DD did. She had a few more days to adapt too. She threw on Sat morning and placed 5th. Even she didn't throw her best either. Both kids threw about 10 feet under what they normally do. It was a great experience for both of them and I am amazed at how much some of those kids compete and for how long. This was our first national level competition and some of those kids have been in this since 4th grade. The one girl has 12 meets just this summer. Junior Olympics is in CA this year. One team had their own bus.

We went to an open air mall in Oak Brook. What a stupid thing that is!! We also went to a mall in Naperville, but the best was the outlet mall in Gurnee, IL. The kids and DH took a reptile tour which they said was neat and had their pic taken with a gentle boa. The Disney Store was the best. I got great deals and stuff that I wanted but could never get there since ours here is 100 miles away.

6 Flags was fun for the kids. They rode all the coaster and the bigs ones 3 times. The wait times were low except one they waited for 45 minutes, but the others were 5-10 minutes max. $4 for a water is a bit much for me!!! We left around 3 and got home just after 8. After hitting traffic on Sat after the meet we decided to miss Monday am traffic and leave Sun night after the park. We hit one patch of stopped traffic, but otherwise it was just heavy all the way through till Naperville.

We had a good trip. It was tough having one get a medal and one not, but both kids know that there are less girls that compete overall than boys, but it doesn't make DS feel much better as he knows he should have placed at least 5th. Nationals next year are in Charlotte, NC.

We got some great t-shirts. They have the names of the kids on the back. Very cool.

It was fun reading about everyone's trip when we got home. We weren't in the room much in Lisle. One night we had a pipe problem that sounded like someone singing. We had to move rooms at midnight. Not fun. DS was so tired the next day:mad:

I won`t go to "Honey I shrunk the audience"....EVER...because I just get the creeps with "Creepy Crawly"..things :scared: ....lol

Stomach- Im getting sooooo nervous now....I know that`s what`s going on in my stomach....I take Nexium anyway...but this year....it`s NOT WOKING !!:scared1:
Checking the house....the plane ride.:scared: ...did I forget anything.:scared: ...do I have enough of everything......
I really wish I were`nt such a worry wart...It would be sooo much easier for me to visit "My Boy Mick":cloud9: ...every year !!! LOL

The one we did was fantasia gardens.. and it was like $12 per adult either $12 or $14 I can't remember. But no where near $25 a person.. it was about that for both of us. It was fun, but kinda boring to us. lol We felt like we could have spent the money on something else better! lol That's just our opinion though. Children would probably love it!

Tomar, breath, breath in and out. I live by a moto with packing, if it didn't get packed, i will buy it there!;) I make a list of everything I forgot while unpacking. Then if you bring it home, I think ooh, that's the can of lysol spray we bought at disneyworld.:thumbsup2 I have to buy or bring a can. (the nurse in me) and the fact disney uses febreeze (at least at poly) which we are allergic to. I leave a little note stating please no febreeze > asthma. Feel free to use the lysol spray. They must think we are nuts. Anyway, you are soooooooooo close. I love the anticipation that every day closer brings. That is almost as fun.

EE22, Welcome home! we missed you. I didn't realize this was your illinois trip, we should of met for cokes at oakbrook. Lisle really is not far from here at all. Just traffic. Glad your kids did ok. Your son will do that much better next time. It would be very hard to compete and be in another state, hotel, and all. Cheers for you dd! It was hot here this weekend.

Good thing you where not near here this coming weekend. Joliet is the nascar capital this weekend. Tourist are all ready showing up. The blimp should be here thurs or fri. We are having a big race, at the chicagoland speedway. (located in joliet)?

Chloeprincess: I will send you the pm, thanks! Sorry your life is back to normal again. Lots of work coming home.

tp2, soon we will be doing the happy dance. I liked Ratatouille' I collect mice ....... as in mickey.;) Now my friend said her kids didn't like it. Her teenage son thought it stupid, and 6yr daughter didn't get the jokes? So you never know.

It is storming here right now. Look out east coasters. Everyone have a great nite! mky:cutie:

Hi Everyone!

Tomar: You're getting so darn close!!!party:

MKY: I didn't realize you were as close to us as you were. I should have realized when you had passes to the zoo. We wouldn't have been very good company. We were all pretty bummed out until Saturday. Our schedule was always somewhat up in the air too. One day I thought we'd be done by 9:30 or so and we weren't out of there till nearly 11:30. Track meets are so unorganized.

I've been so busy since we been back. Kids had doc appointments, running errands, and I didn't feel well on Monday. I'm so glad I cleaned the house before we left:cheer2:

DS and I went and bought new furniture yesterday. Long over due that's for sure. Free interest for FOUR years :woohoo: can't beat that!! I thought I should get some of the bigger expenses out of the way before the college bills start rolling in:eek: Those bills give me nightmares:sad2:

Well...one month and two days and I'll be back at work:scared1:
I'm really not in that mode this year like last year with working on that math textbook which is good and bad I guess. I've really enjoyed the down time and no school work.

Tomar, you are down to 12 days! :wizard: Getting so close!

TP2, We are getting down to a month! ;)

EE22, please don't start planning to return to work already. You still have a lot of time off. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

vmk princess: chloe, your pictures where great. popcorn:: Looks like you had a great time.

We got a DREAM today! The mail girl, stopped and said you have a registered box, let me get it. So I signed for the small box and it was for Sis. And return address "the dream team". I did mail in for a few weeks, for both of us for the mail in prizes. So I had fingers crossed we got the 1.)DVC membership 2.) Trip to all world disneylands. 3.) WDW vac. 4.) Something big? What could it be????? She won dream mickey ears! Very exciting. :cheer2:

next, I turn on computer, and have an email  " a special offer from disney.." Turns out I can buy some cheaper dvd's through the disney movie club. OK, not the AP discount I wanted for the fall / winter trip. :dance3:

Hope everyone has a great nite!

VMKprincess: chloe & Mouseaddicts, So glad you had a great trip! How where the crowds? compared to last year? Heat? We are expecting the worse (so as not to be dissappointed).

mouseaddict's, so what is your countdown now? What floor where you on? Any problems with the room? I heard not much storage? bathroom sinks? Is there still a sink in with the toliet? How was the beds?

today i am down to 38 days. :woohoo: Thinking about getting luggage down to air-out.

1st - I personally thought the crowd @ MK on the 4th of July was WORSE than the last couple of years. :scared: They actually CLOSED Main St. by like 7:00! You could get in, but only stay in the outer lands. There was absolutely NO WHERE to watch the fireworks - we ended up running from Tomorrrowland all the way over to the Swiss Family Treehouse (bear in mind you couldn't cut thru main st hub) & watched from there. The view was pretty good but blocked thru a few tree limbs. A few other families had the same idea, so we weren't alone ..... but it was still all good.

The up side ..... DH is already talking about booking the CR MK Tower View for next July 4th! :rotfl:

2nd - I don't know my next countdown ..... I need to make a new ticker & haven't had time! Work has really been INSANE this week! I've worked late every night ......

3rd - Re the CR rooms ...... please bear in mind I've never stayed there before, so I don't have a pre-rennovation basis for comparisson. That being said ....... we were on the 6th floor - room 4243 - directly above the monorail. Never heard a thing, but felt a few vibrations every now & then when the trains ran thru. No problems with the room once we connected the computer to a working outlet. :goodvibes

I personally didn't have storage issues, but we were only there 3 nights. There are 2 small closets in the entry way. The room itself was quite spacious, so there was plenty of room for all our luggage.

No sink in with the toilet. There are 2 large square sinks in the bathroom with VERY LITTLE counter space between them. There is a shelf under the sinks to put your toiletries, but I didn't find that quite as easy for me as the countertop (you should see my home bathroom! - or maybe not!!!)

We thought the beds were VERY comfy! They have overhead lights with dimmer switches on the headboards which we found handy. Of course, the fact that I could actually see the castle from laying in my bed certainly helped me sleep better! :cloud9:

I took photos of everything .... I just need to get them uploaded to share! Hopefully I'll get to that later today or over the weekend.

Hey y'all ...... Here's the pic MY DH took of me with VMKPrincessChloe ... just like her DH, he managed to capture me looking away with my mouth open!!! :lmao: What is it with these DHs??? MKY - you still want him???
