Well.. today is another one of those ...."Can`t let go of summer" ..days...it is supposed to get up to 90 here in New Jersey...
In a way Im glad for one thing...I can still wear short sleeve things....so my new "Unwanted ..Arm Art...YUK can heal faster !!...ICK

MKY- Thank you for all your expert advice....I really rather not get into details (it`s gross )...but I will say the pain and stinging is subsideing ...and DH says that it`s doing well....UHH...or as well as can be expected !! GRRRR
Digital pictures- we use "Shutterfly"

TP2- Love, Love, Loved the pictures !!!!!! The girls are growing so fast and are beautiful !!

EE22- Take care of your cold....you have a major event coming up "Homecoming" !!

Candi- WE never went on a cruise....I get tooooo sea sick just thinking about it...and I know people say that you never feel it...and there are things out there today to help sooo much....but with my tummy issues....I bet I would be the only one that it doesn`t work on.... ...so I won`t ever take a chance....
HeeHee....My world has to be on "The Good Earth" LOL I watch pictures of Disney`s "Magic" and "Wonder" all the time.....it looks like a Blast....wish I could try....

Hey Guys: I have missed so much. I have not gotten any notifications of new posts. Thanks everyone for the positive comments about the pictures. I really wish we had more but I guess we are lucky to have some.

MKY: So happy to hear that your foot is healing. That is wonderful news. It must be so nice to get back to work and get your life back again. Imagine having a permanent injury. I can't even imagine.

Tomar: So sorry to hear about your burn. I have never done anything too bad, not to say I have not burned myself but nothing too bad. They have always been painful so I can't imagine what you are going through.

EE22: Sorry about the rainouts on the field. Stinks being outside when you are wet and it is cold. Hope all goes well with Homecoming. I know it is so exciting for the whole family.

EE22, I was on ebay, and saw that mousesurplus is selling off alot of akl stuff. You can buy a "bed" etc.. . Have disney year round at home. I need to stay off that site. They also have a table from the GF rooms, I always liked. I bought sis a space aged lamp from the CR last year for xmas. It is so cool.
Hope your cold is getting better. Have you recovered from your wild ride yet?

Candi, thanks for the photo tips. Sis has a printer, but she loves to take pictures and is burning up too much space with them. I told her she needs to use an internet site like tomar & ee22 do.

Tomar, I also have real motion problems. If I am not driving > car sick. I get too dizzy on Soarin too. I have to ride it with my eyes closed every now and then. So we tried the wonder's 3 day and It only bothers me if looking straight down from our balcony, or on the lower decks with the water rushing by. The resturant floor is on 4 and low from the windows the water is rushing by. Have yet to get sick. Did find 2 cool things about the ship. Bugs are not out to sea! Leave them doors open no one is flying in. And my allergies are non existant on the ship. Sis said after the 1st cruise, we must be in port at florida, i can't breath anymore. It is sad that you can't do it. It is expensive, doing disney compared to others but I didn't care for my NCL cruise years ago. Maybe with the 2 new giant ships disney is building, you might be able to try it. The larger the ship the less you feel. Or maybe they will be flying to castaway cay. I would buy into that dvc.

I heard that Disney is building 2 new ships .....the magic and wonder are sooo beautiful I can`t imagine how they`ll top those two...

What is your favorite items in the museum of disney at your homes? Mine is probably a self made ak icon. We where there on opening day, got t shirts that say opening day, etc.. . Some pins sold that day and the park pamphlets I set them all up in a large poster frame display. Maybe in about 50 years I can make a killing selling it at a disneyana convention?

Tomar, that is way too sad. Do any of the rides bother your motion sickness? Do you ever do any boat rides? Ferry? Your near the ocean gambling boat? Sometimes when we went to st. pete in florida and had an ocean side room, watching the waves would bother me, the repetative motion.

There is another discount out there for the end of the year. Not much different that was out there but added more dates?

MKY- It`s so strange that I really don`t feel sick on the Friendships either....but on a large vessel...Im doomed !! DH and I were in St. Thomas one year and went on a glass bottom boat to view the beautiful coral.....the only thing I was viewing...was my head being sick overboard !! ROTFL......It`s OK..I`ve come to terms with it .The 2 rides that I won`t EVER go on are Mission space (never ever )...or EE....went on it last year when it opened...and was sick the whole day !! ick
Disney Museum- I have a framed Litho of "A Party In The Kingdom"...which we bouight in 2005....it has every Disney Character on it.. holding presents ...like they were all going to a B-day party in the castle...the castle is in the background....and underneath....all the characters signatures !! I love this picture
I also have framed alot of the pictures that the Resorts have sent us over the years for our anniversary or a birthday....I`m saving this all for the "Perfectly Princess" someday !!!!
btw- the burn is getting icky-er mky- I guess it has to go through stages....Im in the stage where all the old skin is coming off...and it`s left the surface really raw !!! Yikes....I knew I didn`t want to talk about it !!!...LOL

Okay, 11-12 hour days, 6 days a week have not left me much time for surfin I have missed so much.

Tomar - I have a really great drug I take to combat all things that can make me sick. I have a sensitive tummy and just the thought that I might have eaten something going bad is enought to turn me green. It's main use is not to prevent motion sickness, but I was granted my greatest wish when I was given this for another reason and it really worked for the nausea. Now they perscribe it to me for just the nausea.

I can't take gravol because I am unable to wake up until the dose wears off. If a drug says "may cause drowsiness" it will knock me out for hours. I actually nodded off during a meeting once because of my antihistamines...everyone knows and got a big kick out of it...good thing I can laugh at myself. This drug does not do that since it does not work the same way.

If anyone is interested, I can write the name off the bottle, but in case it has slipped by, my spelling is really bad.

But I love the motion of the boat. I like to be high up on the ship so that I can feel the motion at night. It is like having the ocean rock me to sleep every night. I get one last good sleep the first night on land because I don't have my land legs back.

As for the expense, we went during spring break and the cost was killer, but I have a work friend on the Glory the same week and a drunk jumped over board and caused the ship to be late for every port after that. He had far too many college kids getting drunk on board to feel safe letting his 9 year old explore and every night when the disco closed the drunks would wake everyone else up. He only saved about $300 per person for that time of year.

At 11:30 you could wonder the decks and people were watching movies on deck or playing cards have a beer or coffee and the place was peaceful and people spoke quietly in the halls. I loved it!!!

Hi All...after this week I'm fried and with Homecoming this coming week, I'm going to fried and toasted.

After my nasty allergic reaction last Sunday and nearly heading to the ER and the lockdown on Thursday, I hope the weeks get easier.

I think I hit under 9 months though I can't believe it's October on Monday. MKY, you have to be getting excited.

My favorite item would have to be my Pooh and Friends pic over my living room couch. It's a framed litho that I bought on our first trip to WDW. LOVE IT!! They are all gathered around reading a book. I have another one in the dining room with them cooking too.

Then there's my classroom....

Sounds like you had a tough week, so I hope this week is better.

Tomar - I hope the burn is healing well. Do you take vitamin E vitamins? It will help with the skin growth.

hope everyone had a great weekend. EE22, hopefully you are rested for another wild week. Or recovering from homecoming?

Tomar, itching is normal in the healing process. Just keep your boo-boo clean, and lubed up. It does look ickier as it heals. But you don't want a foul smell, or yellow "pus-ie" drainage. Keep track of your temperature too. All these are warning signs of infection.

Candi, right now I have two cruises in august 08'. One early in the month and the 2nd in the middle. Both are 4 day Wonders. We will only do 1, but I don't get my summer vac. approved at work till end of Jan > march sometime. Then we will drop one. We are really not sure if we want to cruise next year, and keep changing our minds too. The wonder will be doing the 2 visits to castaway cay next summer that is why we choose it, but not sure if we want to invest that much or miss out on disney time. We have to get passports too. Which we should be working on ASAp. I hear it takes a while to get them.

So excited tommorrow is Oct. We are a month and a half to go!

Candi- Thank you for the offer of the motion sickness med name...but...Honestly....I get comatose taking Benedryl I have a very very low tolerance to antihistamenes and such....I probably would sleep and miss the whole cruise !!!!!
Im so happy to know that you and MKY have such a great time on them though ... and...for now I`ll keep my feet on terra ferma ! HeeHee

Actually I also have a very low tolerance to drowsiness and this is part of why I love this drug so much. It does not work the same way and does not have that side effect.

I am glad the burn is healing, try not to scratch.

Tomar is the one that helped me get the pic in the signature.
Save off the picture by doing a right click on one of them on here.
Go to User CP and edit signature.
At the bottom there is a spot to add a picture. I believe you have to browse in order to pull it in from where it was saved.

Thanks for the tip. I was able to insert one picture, but since we own at 2 DVC resorts I was hoping to add both.

I wil have to play with it I guess. Others have more than one, so there must be a way.

I am Canadian (thus the Canadian Disney Fan user name) so I am not sure what is involved with Homecoming since we don't have that here.

I like the way Candi has become the short form...kind of fun!

Candi, its your alt - dis- ego. We have been on this thread since spring 06? And before then meeting every morning on the "watcher" threads. The short hand kinda started after a while. I am so silly, I never caught on that the cand was for canada, even after we talked about windsor. Homecoming, is a high school thing. ee22 is a teacher. So they are involved. They usually have a queen & king elected and court. Have the "homecoming" football game. Its usually the biggest, game of the season. And then a big dance. Lots of going's on. They don't do that in canada? Do they play football, in high school there, Or is soccer the big thing? Nice signature picture.

EE22, Not sure if I left anything out about homecoming? Its been a long time since high school. I have to keep abreast of all the latest, to relate to the kids at work.

Tomar, keep healing. Hope your feeling better.

Speaking of sickness, We are heading into RSV & Rotavirus season, So keep them kids away from others sick. Ok, that is my community service message.

TP2, hasn't been around. I hope her dd is doing ok. I thought she said, they had been ill last week, again?

I figured the Canada thing got missed but I sort of liked the new handle, so I didn't say anything, nor would I judge, since I can't understand most personal plates out there.


I thought I understood Homecoming from movies and TV shows but I thougth I should check.

We do have football teams at the high schools and we do have varsity soccer too. My high school team was sucessful at not winning a game in 25 years! We went to the games because the ticket allowed you to leave early.....that is a lot of years ago now.

I work for a company that assembles parts for the auto industry. Our part goes on the engine. I work in the office and have been with the company for 16 years now. So I now get 4 weeks holidays and the auto industry shuts down between Christmas and New Years, most years.
