June/July/August 2006 Code watch

I have been reading on here every morning to find out if you all have heard about any codes. Our trip is also in July! After reading this morning I had to laugh real hard, it is so funny that there are so many teachers on here! :rotfl2: My husband and I are also teachers. Do you think the fact that we are all hoping for codes says something about teacher's salaries? :guilty: We too only have about 12 days. I did sign up for summer school, just in case I don't get that code!! Thanks for keeping everyone up to date on the codes! I am going to keeping my fingers crossed that something comes out before my 45 day window!
I thought this was funny about the salaries, but I must say Iowa teacher's pay ranks 41st in the nation. We had a raise last year and dropped two more places :guilty:

Teachers you can get the Teachers Rate at the Swan & Dolphin. :teacher:
The family will ONLY stay at AKL. I looked into it even for our Christmas trip and all three yelled NO at the same time. So, that's out!

...and I check in on 6/10, will I still be able to apply and AP rate to my room only? I am getting ready to order my tickets and will not buy an AP without a code, but will upgrade when we get there. Any thoughts? :confused3
I don't know how this works. Can anyone help?
I would think you could apply it, but I'm not sure with the 5 day rule to cancel.

Hello fellow thread watchers...just to let all of you know...

ME AND MY DOG ARE FINE !!!!!!!!! :cool1:  :goodvibes
We are hanging in there..just in case any of you were concerned. (LOL)

Actually I just called at 2;40PM CT and nothing, zip, zilch, nada.

Could you just imagine if this were around April fools day ???
I could see someone..( maybe me ) posting a new thread saying

"THEY'RE OUT...THE CODES ARE OUT" .

I dont have the stones to do that now. That would be extremely cruel.

Anyways, a nice and safe weekend to all...see ya next week.
I'm proud of you kinggoofy. You've taken your loss well :) Many would have disappeared after being wrong on the code date. I think that says a lot about your character.

:rotfl: Called the passholder number at 7:57. I didn't get any further than the following:

Me: "Hi, I wasn't able to log on to the Passholder site, and.."
Her: "I only have til June 3rd, have a magical day."

Lovely, lovely girl. Now, any time I've called to add ADRs or even when we were considering changing our resort to one we haven't tried yet, we've gotten very nice CM's. Not so much this morning. :confused3 I certainly hope someone sprinkles some pixie dust over her, and quick. It's too early in the a.m. to start off cranky already. :sunny: Oh, well... hope springs eternal! Have a great weekend everyone.

Thanks everyone for checking every morning! :thumbsup2 So glad that I grabbed the great Dolphin Teacher's rate when it became available. No dining plan, but no Disney rack rates either!

I need some advice from you all. We are going for about 12 nights, last week in June through July 5th or so.
I am about to give up on the AP discounts. We live in NJ and went about 30 days so far this year, most recently 2 weeks in March.

In March we tried POP for 2 nights, then stayed 10 at WL (our usual) then tried AKL for 2 at the end. For the past years we have loved WL after trying it from our previous favorite Poly. We also really enjoyed the AKL, and also were so surprised that we liked POP. The room there obviously was small, but my children loved the pools and the arcade.
My question: At regular rates in June, the deluxes are too much. Last summer we were on the dining plan and loved it! We have the DDE card from our March trip, but can't compare that to the ease and value of the dining plan, especially for us who enjoy the restaurants at night.
So do we stay for 10 nights this June at Pop and do the package, wasting the 1 day base ticket to get dining? The AP discount isn't as great typically at a value since the price is so much lower. Then we can add the last few nights at WL or AKL. Or will 10 nights at Pop be too hard for us and we won't enjoy it? Of course we aren't crazy about spending about $240 for base tickets, when it will probably be a couple of years before we return, but we figured out what we spend on dining and even with DDE we still spent more than this over the plan.
Sorry for so long and confusing a post, but any help is appreciated!

I would first check to see if Pop is even available for your dates and get prices. Then go from there. I've never stayed at Pop so I'm no help there.

'morning ........... I know I'm late ...... I slept in :teeth: DH is at work (overtime $ for Mickey!) so he called to wake me up on his break. I see I didn't miss much ........ :smokin:

Kinggoofy - I'm so glad you're still around. Need a place to sleep man??? :thumbsup2

Diana - We've also never stayed @ POP, but we did do AS last year & the kids LOVED it. I know there is another post around here regarding the free dining plan offered in late summer where a number of posters were buying 1 day base tix to get the plan & felt it was an economically smart decision. (I can't get DH to plan our Sept. trip yet until we get past July!) They were all pointing out that the base tix can be traded in toward their AP renewal bringing that cost down, so the $240 you pay toward a pkg now would be saved if/when you renew. Dunno if that helps, but I thought I would bring that up for your consideration. :sunny:

Off to the Post Office - I'm sending out park maps to those who requested. I also forgot to mention earlier that I have the Biibbidi Bobbidi Boutique brochure as well. I went ahead & included that with the maps for the ones I'm sending out - just in case.

TTFN ~ I'll "see" y'all later today, tonight, tomorrow, next week, next month..... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

thanks to all who checked this morning
I`m not sure if codes come out on the weekends, but opening the computer first thing in the morning has become a ritual with me lately ;)
Have a great day everyone!
