Don't worry I'm laughing at myself. My mother told me the other day that she wasn't asking where we're staying anymore until the day we leave. THis cannot be the last year for you - we have to definitely meet up next year. That is if I don't meet up with you at the AG store in NYC first!

Is this waiting driving anyone else insane?

Our trip is only two months away and I can't buy tickets yet because I don't know if I want an AP or not. I keep reevaluating where we're staying, wondering whether we should move down to a moderate if there are no AP rates. I checked yesterday and I could get AAA rates at every moderate for our dates so the option is still there. But then I remember why we chose the WL in the first place and decide we should still stay. And then I start thinking about how much money it is. AAgh.

I'm giving CRO two more weeks and then I'm giving up and buying parkhoppers. I never thought I'd still be waiting for June rates this late in April.

OK - I talked to a very nice CM.
He thinks AP rates for end of June into July will come out by May 1st.
So I will call every AM (EST) and check.

As for AAA rates - I would book one now through WDW reservations, if you do not have a reservation yet.
I would cancel the AAA reservation (do through WDW) about 2 weeks before if a better rate comes out.

We have an AAA rate at the Polynesian.
We are waiting for AP rates hopefully for the Polynesian.

My family wants the monorail resort - but if a better AP rates comes out for GF or CR tower (we will not do a wing room) - we may switch.
Minor adjustments for us would be needed - just to contact our Car Service ride as to where they are driving us from MCO.

oh no,

I'm getting worried. The other thread about new discount "magical beginnings" is aimed for the school seasons, > So does that mean the summer promotions are over. :guilty: They came out with free dining for mid aug / sept and I'm afraid we are going to be skipped over? So that was aimed for early fall and not us. :confused3

Tripplanner2: I called last Saturnday, and a surprised sounding CM said on a Sat.? Don't think so. "they don't do that on a weekend" is what he said. Now we all know, some Cm's might not know as much as us princess: :thumbsup2 but he might know something.??

I really don't want to hear they are not extending through till my date of August 2, 2006. That means I will be waiting longer? The last few years early to mid august was included with after july 4th ap rates. Please give me some good news. :wizard:

Yeah, and I can definately understand why they would not do a release on the weekend as I am sure extra staff would be more expensive due to overtime. But, the Visa promotion for free dining definately started on April 1 which was a Saturday. Maybe he means AP code releases. I don't know at this point but I do know I am starting to go a little crazy.

Woohoo Yes we will be at the Poly the 1-9Th. I should be easy to spot-I'll be the one with all the kids..... I have 4 of them! It looks like there will be several disers there during that week. I have my lime green mickey heads ready to go!

SOOOOOOO........IF we get an AP discount, what are you going to do with the extra savings? I prepaid for my room, then applied the AAA discount, so now I have a credit balance, which they are leaving on my account for room charge.

If I get any EXTRA $$ off, I am going to add another nights stay!!!
Oh yeah!!! So I hope May 1st is a magical day for all of us waiting! :Pinkbounc

UGH! I'm hoping for AP rates for June 10-June 18. I hope after all this waiting they don't skip a huge part of June, I don't think I could take it. :sad2:

Insane is an understatement  Now I'm wishing I didn't have an AP. I know there are other benefits to having an AP other than the room discount. But for me that was the main reason I bought one. I know, I know, there is no guarantee of getting a discount and I don't expect to get one during peak season or holidays, but why not during the summer? I've never found myself looking off site before and seeing that I can stay at a really, really nice hotel for less than the AKL because all the off site hotels I checked are running summer promotions. I can stay at the Ritz Carlton for a little more then what I'm paying now. But it's not Disney :sad2: I just don't get it...I don't understand Disney sometimes...thanks for letting me vent. :furious:

Okay...I found the other thread. I think it's just free dining again. Like someone on that thread said it's marketing.

I`m still thinking that the cm i spoke with was right, she said the first week of may, and this sounds right since it`s when the offering came out last year!
You know, I think I`m starting to get alittle Obsessed with this whole senario  couldn`t get to a pc yesterday, and all I was thinking about was if I was missing out on getting an AP Disc. for our YC ressies! :crazy2:
"UHH OHH ???!!!!" :earseek: :hourglass :rolleyes
"stay focused maria"... ;)

I don't know if I can take much more waiting... I have to have an AP, as we will be back in Dec for the wedding. So, not only is it cheaper than buying 4 parkhoppers, it is necessary. That is one less thing to worry about.

Just hoping that we have some relief from all of this stress....
