The AP site isn't down, you probably need to dump your cookies file and re-enter your log in info.

Yet again - NO!

To paraphrase the CM...I'm sure there will be something in a week or two...

but, will it be AP rates?:Pinkbounc

I know you all are going to hate me for saying this, but...I'm glad they're not out yet. Now wait, let me explain. I check the airfare first, then call to get my ressie then go back and buy my air. I like to get the best deal on airfare and they're not even up for the end of August yet. So I'm hoping they come out soon because I just want to have my trip planned so I can start saying, "we're going back to Disney" instead of, " we might be going back depending blah blah blah"

Hi- I'm brand new to all this and am planning my family's 1st trip to DW this summer. I'm looking for ways to save money. What's the deal with the AP's? Is that something I should be looking at- or only if I plan to visit every year?? I really appreciate any help you all can give me!

You must be flying SW(?). AirTran's recently out thru Oct., perhaps longer.:cheer2: go rates go!

So DH was talking with a CM on Sunday (I think) & he (the CM) said there are two codes out right now, so Diz probably won't release another one until one expires. (I guess they don't want 3 codes out @ once) So....... the oldest codes expires 4/13, right? That means around the 14th/15th we could POSSIBLY see a code.

The CM did tell DH that he thought one might be out "around the middle of April." Again, that coincides with the current code expiration date.

So, until then, we wait ............ I know we'll be calling on the 13th/14th/15th (and possibly beyond)!

Sometimes the AP codes are worth buying an AP for, but I would compare other codes such as AAA, and any other codes that come out for your time with the AP code that is out. An AP cost quite a bit more than just tickets. I have never bought an AP because we don't go more than once a year (usually). It would just depend on how many nights you are staying and multiply that by the savings per night as compared to other codes etc. There are also some other perks to having an annual pass, and only one person in your party has to have one to qualify for the rate. Read up on this at Mousesavers.com. Mary explains it all pretty well. Have fun planning.

Oh, I forgot to say, welcome!

That's about the time frame I originally began to bandy about. . .actually, I was thinking more along the lines of 11 or 12th. . .my husband called today as well and he was told the following:

"No AP’s :( - - however, very nice CM said look toward the 2nd week of April."

That seems to fit the time frame. . .guess we will see. . .of course, we could be waiting until late April too. That's been known to happen as well. . . :sad2:

I was just wondering.......is waiting for the codes to come out better than renting points for a DVC??

I may seem biased because I'm a DVC member, I'm not because I've been a renter.

It's much less expensive to rent points depending on when you're going......And, what resort you want to stay at.

Take a look at the rates for your dates, then, take a peek at the DVC point calculator & figure $10 - $11 per point needed & do the math...... :thumbsup2

The problem I found with renting points (and I may be mistaken, I just tried to figure it out) was the weekends. We do not like to switch resorts, we only want to unpack once. We like to stay upwards of 2 weeks and my parents are joining us and have to travel over the weekends. Because of the weekend days needed it blew the budget. Like I said though, I may have done it wrong, but I am waiting for AP rates.
