June hrs?

I haven't but was thinking about it.

I've wrote to them at least 3 times and they have yet to respond. I would think I would at least get a message they are not extending the hours.

I sent an email too. No response (this is my 3rd no-response-back email). They hate me - they've probably looked up our ressie and are going to put us in the crummiest room they have :p ;) :(

Just to play spoiler here, take a look at the scheduled hours for June 7th at the MK. According to the chart, the MK is scheduled to close at 9:30--on Gay Day? Does *anyone* believe that that will actually happen? MK is almost guaranteed to near capacity that day, and Disney mgt. knows it. I am absolutely certain that they intend to keep MK open until at least 11 pm on the 7th, and that Spectro will run twice that night, too.

It is my hunch that the reason for the announced short hours has to do with some kind of staffing strategy that allows the company to keep the "regular" MK workforce smaller than it would otherwise be. (Of course, that's a guess, and I could be completely wrong.)

For what its worth... Yesterday (5/18) a friendly CM from WDW called in response to an email I had sent about 12 days earlier. My complaints were twofold 1) ridiculously short MK hours in June and 2) closure of tow popular rides (Pooh and GMR) for rehab during June. In my email I reasoned that had I known about the closures I oculd have scheduled a trip for the fall and experienced these rides PLUS Mission Space and Philharmagic -all at off-peak rates. I pointde out that I would not be losing time in the park since MK will be closing at 7pm ( ) during our June visit.

I felt sorry for the CM. All she could say was "The park hours are based on attendance predictions. Those will be the hours for the days you visit." She then went on to tell me how great Philharmagic was going to be, not at al adressing my concerns abour Pooh and GMR being closed.

All in all, I'm glad someone called. But I am still not happy about Disney's shenanigans and shell-games when it comes to taking care of their guests. I'll have a great time in June; I just hope I fel like going back for another vacation some day
