JUST WANTED TO LET OUT A BIG YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:  :cool1: JUNE HOURS ARE FINALLY UP!

I can finally start getting ready to plan our ADR's because June hours are up!! It felt like forever!!! ... and a day! :lmao:

Ok so now where should I eat? :confused3 I know I still have like almost a month till I can make the reservations because I think it's 90 days out but I do remember someone saying something about adding 10 days to that or something. If anyone knows anything about this please let me know!

I know we are going to do breakfast at Ohana's which should be fun. And we are staying at AKL so I think they have some good eats there! Maybe I should go do some research?

Actually I think I am just going to go to bed! It has definetly been one of those wedding planning computer days...

If you have any advice let me know!
As always, You guys ROCK! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Here are some of my favorites.

Ohana dinner
Chef Mickey breakfast

Sci fi
The Plaza
Boma

cali grille
Yachtsman steakhouse
Jiko

I can't wait!! Good luck I with your ADRS. I hope you can get what you what you want.

It's always so exciting getting to pick up that phone and make your reservations. the 90 + 10 rule works this way....if you are staying at a Disney resort (which you are), when you hit your 90 day mark, you can make PS ressies for up to ten days. This is an advantage, because if you are staying off-site, you'd have to call each day, as you hit the 90 day mark. You know, like you'd have to call on Monday to make one ressie, Tuesday to make the next days, etc.

My favs are:

Ohana for dinner
Kona for breakfast
I really like Planet Hollywood for the atmosphere (loud & entergetic)
We are trying some new places this year that have been highly recommended:

Yachtsman, LeCellier, and Spoodles.

Good luck, I hope you get everything you want!

I woke up this morning and was like hey- June hours should be up and they were!

It confirmed when I wanted to do the Fantasmic Dinner package.

We currently have ADR's for the following (booked when you could do 120 days out):
- Cinderella's Royal Table (Breakfast)
- Jiko (we're staying at AKL too and doing the Wanayama Safari and this
is a part of it)

The other places I want to book:

- Mama Melrose (Fantasmic Dinner Package)
- Yak and Yeti
- Coral Reef
- Crystal Palace (Breakfast)

Good luck!!:yay:

Yay for hours being up!

I really don't have any advice because I don't eat at the restaurants at Disney....Pecos Bill is about as fancy as I go :lmao:

But good luck and happy dining!

Where can you get tonga toast? I keep hearing about it but I have no idea which restaurant serves it! Thanks!

Tonga Toast is at Kona Cafe at Poly.

My Fave:
Garden Grill-Dinner-Epcot
Crystal Palace-Anytime-Magic Kingdom (all 3 meals are great here)
Teppan Edo-Lunch or Dinner-Epcot

I've heard Boma and Jiko are great they're at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Tonga toast is at the Kona Cafe, but you can also get it at Cpt Cooks Snack Shack (counter service) at the Poly too. They also have this awesome Aloha Pork Sandwich, which is pulled BBQ Pork with pineapple coleslaw, cheese, and cucumbers. My DF fell in love with it, and it's the ONE request he made to eat when we go back!

what exactly is tonga toast? I have never eaten at the poly (even when I stayed there!)

Banana-stuffed sourdough bread, battered, deep-fried and dusted with cinnamon and sugar $5.09

YUMMMMMMMMMO!!

WOW - I wonder if I can add it to my brunch buffet at my reception :)

Out of all the places we dined at I would have to say the best was definitely Rose and Crown in Epcot...an outdoor seat...during Illuminations. Perfection :goodvibes

I am trying to decide where to go also. I tried the castle for breakfast my last trip and wasnt impressed. This will be FI's first trip to Disney so I am trying to deicde if we should go for lunch or dinner one day?!

I think it'd depend on how "Disneyfied" your DF is....personally, mine would prefer a nice steakhouse like Yachtsman or LeCellier, over a meal with characters...but that's just him! Kona has a wonderful breakfast, and my DF loved the french pressed coffee there....not to mention the Tonga Toast!

You can get it at Kona Cafe at the Poly and also Captain Cooks at the Poly which is a CS. We go there in the mornings before we go to the MK. It's a nice way to start the day lol!

BEWARE OF YAK & YETI!!!! We ate there after it first opened and I was sooo excited. It was the biggest let down. We really really didn't like it at all. We thought the atmosphere was about as bland as the food. I made a reservation thinking it would be packed and we were practically the only people in the entire place. They brought out our meals litterally 3 minutes after we ordered. So I assume everything is premade and just microwaved? We had the bill and were almost glad to be out of there within about 25 minutes. It was the single fastest/worst dining experience I have ever had at a disney restaurant.

I hope it has improved since then. I know the tusker house was completely redone a year or so ago and reopened about the same time as Yak & Yeti opened. I haven't been there since it was redone - but I might try that as an alternative.

I almost agree that Yak & Yeti should be skipped. The Quick Service serves almost the same food. (DFi ordered something that was on both, and said the Quick Service version we better). I eaten there twice. The service just isn't right, but since Disney doesn't run it and the people that work there aren't cast members it can be hit or miss.

Tusker House is great and if you get a lunch ADR between 1p-1:40p you get free seats to Finding Nemo later in the afternoon.
