June dates and Grad Nights vs Passholder blockouts

We are planning on flying into Anaheim on June 2nd and leaving June 7th which give us 4 days of activities. Our plan is three park days and one Hollywood/tour day. Sunday (the 3rd) is a passholder blackout day, Monday is a "normal" park day, and Tuesday and Wednesday both have Grad Night.

How big of an impact will each of these things be on crowd levels? Will Sunday be as good as Monday since there are no lower tier passholders or will being a weekend day make a huge difference? Will Wednesday be worse that Tuesday because Thursday is the last day for passholders?

I'm sort of thinking that either Tuesday or Sunday will be our tour day but things are still up in the air. We're WDW vets, so overplanning is just part of the trip. Maybe I'm overthinking all of this. :-)

I am thinking you do Sunday to Hollywood when traffic might be more manageable.

That leaves the other days for DLR...

One version of our plans definitely has Sunday as the tour day. The only wrinkle is that I really like the looks of The Anaheim Tour Company's combo tour, but they apparently they don't run on Sundays or Fridays. Do you know of anybody else who picks up at the DLR local hotels?

Sundays are the worst day of the week to visit in my opinion. Yes, the lowest tier is blocked but the Deluxe is not. There are a lot of people living within a 3 hour drive that have the Deluxe. And in the summer they are blocked on Saturday. So they work all week and can only visit on Sunday. Sundays are crushing unless the Deluxe is blocked too.

Well, that sounds ominous... :D Are we talking about holiday level crowds or regular "do rope drop / work fastpass-maxpass / take an afternoon break at the hotel" kind of crowds?

I think the PP was just making a point about the impacts of AP holders. I am a Deluxe AP holder myself and DAPs are blocked many Saturdays especially in the summer which means Sundays are the only available weekend day. This has some good info still: "Understanding AP Blockouts and Impact on Crowds" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2365983

In general DLR is just super busy most of the year, and when they are not quite as busy, they take rides down for refurb and the rides that are running they reduce capacity. So queues for rides still can be significant.

Nothing ominous here except always be prepared to follow your own good suggestions about RD and MP.
