Hi Emmasgrammy,

Dh is 13 - does that say it all?! (rofl!) Anyway, ds decided that he would not like a Disney cruise a few days prior, that it was for little kids (NOT!) He was a grump til' about Weds. when he came out of his shell and improved his attitude and thus his fun. He is a great kid, has lots of friends, but always hangs back before he jumps in to anything new. And, he really tried to smile, he just does not like his picture taken.

Know you must have been there with your kids?! Now, our dd on the opposite end will smile with drama and spirit for 99.9% of her photos...only won't when she is tired or very hungry!

Going to read your trip report, and will look forward to your photos!

Will be wonderful to meet you next August, I think our stateroom is close to your stateroom - we should run in to each other often! Thanks Lynda!!!

I am sure you meant DS, but a lot of DHs do act 13 a lot of the time!

Your pictures were great, Barbara . I wish we were more camera savvy. We take them in bunches, at times when we aren't caught up in the moment and actually remember we have a camera. I have to admit that I agree with Grumbo as I got a big smile out of your DS in the formal pics. As step-dad to 2 teens, I totally understand. Also, how great is DCL when even "nothing" looks yummy.

The sundae my dh had was the:

No Way Jose - a peanut butter and hot fudge delight with chocolate and vanilla ice cream, peanut butter and chocolate morsels, whipped cream and a cherry.

He enjoyed every bite, and I wish I were eating one right now!

swingdude: Dh is the one who took most of the photos, I forget as we are having fun, but do take some right after he starts shooting the photos, so I know what you mean! I'd rather enjoy the moment, but the photos later sure are nice.

I just loved your photos!

We will be celebrating our anniversary on our cruise this fall -- my dh was hesitant to tell our travel agent that our anniversary was during the cruise because he just hates being sung to in public - LOL!

Can you let me know what DCL did for your anniversary -- and did it cost extra?

My sister and her dh spent their 1st anniversary on another cruise line and were given a cake at dinner -- they were amazed to see a BILL for this cake (that they didn't even ask for) on their tab. Isn't that the nerve??!!

Hi Kris,

Dh ordered the REAS package for our cruise. When making all the arrangements, he told Debbie about our anniversary date. For some reason, our wonderful server at Palos "knew" it was our anniversary, and he had the chef make the plate! The rest you viewed in the photos - swan/heart towel animals, rose pedals, gift basket with photo album-chocolates-champagne, were part of REAS. A stateroom champagne breakfast a morning of our choice was also included. We also had courtesy reservations for a Palos brunch and obtained our table seating rotation request.

Somebody went above and beyond for us (most likely Debbie who is a gem!), and we don't exactly know why or how.
