June Cruise

Has anyone sailed in June? Please share your experiences, good or bad. Bon Voyage.

We sailed towards the end of June in 2002. It was hot and there was a thunderstorm here or there. But, the seas were calm, Castaway Cay was wonderful...the water was warm. We got to do everything scheduled except the Sail Away party from Nassau was moved indoors because of a late evening thunderstorm.

I'll tell you though, the storms made for some really beautiful rainbows at sea!

We're sailing the same time this year. After school and before hurricane season really kicks in.

Sounds like you were on the Eastern. We are cruising in June on the Western, and looking forward to it. We were pretty limited to that particular week, so I have to hope it won't be so hot my DH will stay in the AC on board the whole time!

Hi DoomBuggieDriver, it looks like you are on after me in June!! We'll try not to eat all the food!!!


We've done the Wonder twice in June. Both times it stormed on the first night.
The second time they did move the sail away party inside. We did get to leave port without rain,so that was fun. And We had a quick downpour in the am at Nassau. Of course, that was right on our catamaran sail right before we went in the water!

Nassau was very, very hot when we went into town.

We're going on the Eastern this time in June. I'm guessing that the temperatures will be hot as well. Hopefully, we won't get too much rain this time.

Hi Musicgirl!
Please be sure you all leave some chocolate mouse cake type dessert for me and I will be happy. I am so excited about this trip. It's our first cruise ever, and first trip into the Carribean. It's been in the planning since last January, and booked since last February and now it's getting real. It great you have been able to enjoy cruises on the Wonder, and now are headed out on the Magic. Have fun planning!
