I would like to plan another trip this year, but don't want to take our kids out of school again. How crowded is it in June? Is it like easter? I can take ride lines around 40 min. but that's about it. My kids are patient, but not that patient. And how hot is it? We went in Sept. and it was a scorcher, but we survived. Any input from those who went at this time previously would be appreciated. I'm looking at aroung June 25th or so. Thanks...

We went in early June in 2002. The lines were long, some of which can be offset with FastPass. The heat was pretty bad. We had a thunderstorm most afternoons, which didn't help much. The temp dropped briefly, but the humidity went higher than it already was... Add to that grouchy people because of the heat and humidity - made for a disappointing vacation.

I won't comment about our displeasure with CBR, because CBR is sacred ground to some around here.

I've been in September and June, so I can offer a little comparison. We went after Labor Day and in early June, just so you know the times.

Temperature-wise, June was as hot, but not quite as humid, and it didn't rain every day as it did in September. Crowd-wise, the parks were much more crowded in June than Sept. But then WDW is pretty much a ghost-town after Labor day, so I knew we were being spoiled with the non-existant waits then.

I don't think we waited for anything longer than 40 minutes in June, but we could have if we wanted to (i.e. Space Mountain 65 mins, Splash 70 mins, Test Track 90 mins, etc). Fast pass and eride are essential, I think. I would imagine that crowds would increase after the bulk of the schools are out in later June, but I've never been at that time. I've never been at Easter either.

We have been twice around the middle of June.
It does get hot, but if you get to the parks early and then take a break at your hotel you should be fine. This is what we did every day and it worked out great. We went to a different park after our mid-day break and really enjoyed ourselves.
The combination of early arrival and Fast Passes worked out nicely. Also, you have E-nights in June. These are great and so worth the additional cost.

We went the first week of June 2002. It was hot, but you would expect it to be hot in Florida then. The longest lines were at the MK, but at the other parks the lines were no longer than 15 minutes, and thats not too bad. The week were there it rained once, and the rest of the week it was perfect. The best part of going during warmer months is that the park is opened later. You can get to the parks early, go back to the hotel for some pool time and R&R, and then return to the parks later in the day.::MickeyMo

We went last year June 13-18. We wanted to go for the Star Wars weekend and we didn't want to pull our son out of school. I don't like heat and crowds so I was worried about going in June, but we LOVED our trip. It seemed like we were in air conditioned attractions much of the time. The only day it felt really hot was at AK and then it made the place more authentic! We stayed on site, so we'd arrive at the park at opening, go back to POR every day around 4 to swim, rest and head back to a park around 7 and stay til closing. It oftened rained about 4.

We made good use of fast pass, so we never waited for anything for more than 15 minutes. And we went on EVERYTHING. Now, if we hadn't used fastpass, the waits were 45 minutes or more for the big attractions.

We like the summer hours at the parks. Plus we'd had a cold spring at home and the hot weather actually felt good.
