June Crowds??

We have been to WDW many times but only in Sept. We are thinking of going June 13 --can anyone tell me how the crowds are? Thanks for your input.

We have been the last 4 Junes. Last year it was very managable, no crowds. The 3 previous years we found the parks to be managable with a little planning. Go with a plan and you will have a ball!!!

After spending two Spring Breaks at Disney, we finally went in June last summer and wow! what a difference!!! We will be going again this June, too. It's hot but I'd rather deal with the heat than the crowds!!

I went last year around mid-June, and didn't find the crowds too bad. And Disney is, to me, so great about moving people quickly. One night when we left the MK, loooong line at bus stop to POFQ. Told DH "Looks like we'll be here forever." The people in back of us turned around and said they were going to get a cab. Well, 15 minutes later we were getting on a bus and when we got to POFQ, that's right, we got off and watched the cab (with the same people from the bus stop) pull up! So I wouldn't worry about it. And if you're in MK on June 17th, and see a "middle-aged" lady wearing a birthday badge, be sure to say "Hi" to me.

Have been there in June. The weather was hot & humid for the most part (we did have a couple days where it was just perfect, though, it's strictly up to Mother Nature as to the weather that you'll get). The crowds grew day-by-day until it was obvious that every school in the world was out for summer break (I actually don't mind crowds since I have vacationed at WDW during Easter (twice) and Christmas/New Year's (once)). As long as you are prepared for the idea of heat, humidity, and crowds, you should have a wonderful vacation. If I had to spend my vacation anywhere, WDW would be my first choice. I hope your vacation is magical!

We will be there June 6th - 17th. Our 3rd time to go in June.
The early part of June is really great. The Memorial Day crowds are leaving and the "school's out" crowds are just starting to head in.
Since it is summer....they usually start the summer hours. That means the night-time parade and fireworks will be every night, not just on the weekends!!! This is a huge plus for those that like to avoid MK on the weekends since it is always most crowded on Sat!
By then the should be open later too. And with it being June, the days are longer.
Now I would say....from June 3rd through like mid month.....up to June 20th the crowds are definitely managable. As you get closer to the end of the month you can absolutely see the crowds increase!!! In June 2000 we were there from June 10 - 21 and the last couple days we were there......WOW! What a difference from the first.
How long will you be there? If you plan right though...you will be fine. Where you staying?? Maybe we will run in to you

My friend and I were there last June and the crowds were very minimal and the parks were somewhat empty. We are going again this June/July and we hope there is the same type of crowds this year!

I have only been to WDW during the months of June & July. I'll take June over July anytime!! I was there in 2001 from June 11-21. The first week was wonderful. The only place I felt that it was "crowded" was MK. The last 3 days the crowds increased but with Fast Pass, we never waited more than 15 minutes for any attraction. We didn't find the heat too overbearing either. Have a great time! I wish I were going back this year.

I am going the LAST week of June, for the first time in 11 years! June 23-28 to be exact. I am hoping it is NOT too crowded at this time, any one been there than? Thanks!

Crowds were minimal, and the watehr was warm, but bearable. I am going again this June because it was perfect last year. Hopefully it will be as good.

We're going June 14-25th. I can bear the heat - but good to hear the crowds may not be as bad as I was anticipating!

I can't wait to go! It's been 10 years since DH & I went and that was a whirlwind 3 days! DS's have never been to WDW but have been to DL several times.

This thread made me soooo happy. We have gone the last 2 summers (07/05/99- 07/12/99 and 06/30/01-07/8/01)

This year, we will be there 06/12-06/22. Sounds like crowds will be much better. Thanks

Jamsmom, you'll have a great time!

We visited in June 2001 also -- crowds were manageable, especially with fastpass.

Heat was also manageable. We hit it early, took a break midday, went back to the hotel, swam or napped and generally just refreshed ourselves. 5 days out of 7 it rained in the afternoons -- cooled everything off nicely and made the evenings really pleasant.
