June and timing TS meals

Hello,
I am hoping you can help me. We will be traveling to Disney in June with three teenage boys and following TGM's plus TP for our itinerary, so we will basically hit the parks early and try to get most of the to do's out of the way early in the day. We always do one TS meal a day, and when it is a bit cooler, we tend to eat a nice meal in the evening and eat mostly CS during the day. Because it gets so hot in the middle of the day, I am wondering if it makes sense to have the "longer" sit down meal for a late lunch to cool everyone down and let them relax so that they are ready for the late afternoon (water parks) and evening activities, but I am not sure that I want to give up eating some of the evening offerings (Boma, Yachtsman, etc.). However, I want to do what is best for the boys, and I am not sure a longer dinner will make them feel that they are "missing" Disney. For two of the boys, this will be their first, and probably only, trip to Disney. My son has been over two dozen times, and unfortunately, I think he will be the problem because he loves the evening food options.

What would you do? I would love any input.

I've been having the same problem.

We usually eat lunch in the room then hit the pool.
We go back to the same park for dinner to use FPs, but during busy times of year , even the FP lines can be long by evening time

I've been thinking it might be better to make lunch TS adrs instead. Do a few more rides after , then head back to the resort for the rest of the day.

But a teenage will probably want to hit the park at night.

You sound as if you have exactly the same thoughts: a lunch ADR, then back to the resort for a few hours, and then realistically the kids will head back to the parks between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. Because of my son's insistence on "good" food, I might throw in an evening ADR every three evenings and try to do one of the air conditioned counter services at whichever park we are at for lunch on those days. It's funny, that in trying to find a balance of independence and family time, I am finding that planning for teenagers is harder than any planning I have done in the past.

Thanks for your input.

We do a CS lunch then TS for dinner most days. We are not early park people though, usually arriving around 10 so for us by dinner time we are ready for a nice break in the AC to recharge before hanging out at the parks for the night. Some days we didn't hit the parks until after lunch anyway. We also prefer to stay in the park all day and do our swimming/hanging out at night so if you take mid day breaks our plan wouldn't really work. For the most part we started that because we get the dining plan and it seemed dinners were more expensive so we wanted to get the best value for our money.

Have you considered the early dinner times? A lot of the restuaruants I've looked at start dinner around 4pm or so..... If you were able to grab spots like these then you could have the dinner offerings at a more "late lunch" time.
