Just paid off our cruise!
:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

It's been a challenge for us. This cruise was paid for out of monthly extras by radically scaling down on our purchases and activities. We have been working on this for over a year and I never thought this day would come. :cool1:

Next step ressies and ps. We're on our way.

Anyone for joining in the double digit dance?

:cool1:

Next week, reservations!!!!!!
I also got our confirmed Palo times and Spa times for our REAS AND paid off our trip as well.....

Doing the DD Dance

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to check in and say hi! I love that we will already "know" some people on the cruise when we get there.

I am calling my TA this week to make final payment and then I can finalize my excursions. I am still not sure what we are doing. I am used to a more low key, sit on your butt by the pool vacation so I am not sure if I really want to plan too many activities at the ports. On the other hand, I dont want to miss anything either :confused3 .

Hope to hear from everyone soon!

My dh is in the states - he had four days leave last week!

If we want to do the banana boat ride should we pay up so we can make reservations, or take a chance and pay our balance in April when it is due?

After reading all the info on the boards, I am going to go ahead and make reservations for shore excursions. I assume a lot of people don't know about the 90 days since that is fairly new. I figure if I make my ressies before the 60 day period I will beat most people to the punch.

my statement says I cannot make reservations until I pay the balance in full
is this true?

so you have paid your trip off?

We paid off our trip last month, figured I had better pay it off before I spent it. LOL
As far as I know, to be able to make the ressie 90 days in advance, your trip has to be paid for in full. I think we are going do the laid back approach this time, DS(8) wants to go to the Pirates Museum in Nassau. The only ressies I am going to make are for DS(15) for the teen excursions he wants to do. The Junkaroo Jam at Nassau and Wildside at CC. I guess I should ask him and DH if they also want to do the banana boats. Last time they snorkeled and did parasailing.
So has anyone given any thought to trying to plan some sort of get together for us to meet? It would be nice to put some faces to the names!! :goodvibes

Tell you DH welcome back!!!! We are a Air Force family here!

Ok Gang,
Has anyone made their shore excursion reservations yet????

I am so happy, we got our spa and Palo confirmation from Sue Ellen!!! 3 pm Spa on Nassau day, 8 PM Palo that night. So plenty of time to take the kids to dinner at 6 and get DS into club, other DS will be on the teen Junkaroo Jam and off to Palo for us!

Yeah, :cheer2: we got them. I followed the dining thread suggestion and started calling 2 min before they opened and pressed 1 and then 1 for the questions. It actually worked twice.

I scheduled one set for June 10th just incase I didn't get the 12th for my daughter's birthday and then this morning we were able to get June 12th for her birthday. She is going to be so excited. I am going to cancel the June 10 ressies for a party of 10. If anyone is interested pm me and I'll let you know what time I am going to cancel.

Third year trying is a charm :earsgirl:

I think we have decided to not plan any formal shore excursions. We are beach people. I think we are going to take the bus over to cable beach and enjoy the free beach and pool. Pack some sandwiches from room service and hang out until the kids are tired.

At CC we are planning on snorkeling. I heard about dry snorkels for younger kids. I'm hoping my 71/2 year old DD will be able to do the snorkeling trail with us.

We are definately up for a DIS meet. Let us know where and when.

We are really starting to get excited :earsgirl: :bday: cindy ressies :thewave:

We didn't make any reservations for dinners...I didn't know that you were allowed to do it in advance. Do you have to be on some special package to do that?

Anyway, my DH and I weren't really interested in dining at Palo, so I'm not too worried about that. Is there anything else I should be booking in advance?

My DH and I might do one of the Nassau tours, but I haven;t gotten around to booking it yet.

We did, however, get lucky on our Priority Seatings at WDW. We are going there for 4 days AFTER the cruise. On Friday, we got ressies for breakfast at Cinderella's castle. My DD3 is SO excited. My mom, sister, sister-in-law and 2 nieces will be joining us.

I'm up for a DIS meet too! It's our first cruise, so I have no idea what would be a good time or place.

Also, aren't a bunch of us staying at the Radisson the day before? We'll have to keep an eye out at the hotel pool!

Sharon

We have our Palo dinner ressies made, only because we are trying the REAS package.
Congrats to all of you on the Cindy ressies , with 2 boys they have no interest in that. We'll be at MK as well that Friday. We are going for 4 days after the cruise as well, only in addition to WDW they want to go to Universal as well. Staying at Shades of Green after and yes, at the Radisson before the cruise.
Haven't booked any excursions for the cruise, may only book the one teen excursion DS wants to do.

Anyone have any ideas on a cruise meet?
Beth
(I think I may ask for ideas on the other board)

Made our final payment today. Yeah, I was so excited about getting Cindy ressies we decided to go ahead and pay off the whole thing.

When we were making the final payment the cm noticed my daughter's birthday was that week and suggested we go ahead and celebrate on the cruise one night with a cake. I expalined it was a couple days after the cruise. She said we should still celebrate while were on the cruise too and my daughter would love it. The CM said she would get a cake at dinner and a surprise at no added cost. What the heck, I said yes.

It is finally starting to feel like we are actually going to go. Gotta go I have a Belle costume to start cutting out.

Has anyone else been watching the boards and seeing all the changes that are going on? I thought I had everything planned out and now I'm just going to wait until May to plan anymore.

1. Hercules is being cancelled, don't know what is replacing it
2. Pirate night is now on the CC day w/ fireworks
3. Dinning rotation now repeat on the last two nights
Anyone know any changes I missed? :confused3

One Quick Question: The check-in time posted for Comfort Suites on the choicehotels.com website is 3:00pm. Will they let you use the facilities before 3:00pm?[/QUOTE]

yes, i emailed them and they said you come and they will give you your wristbands and you can come back and see when a room is ready, OR they might have a room early if you are really lucky!!

hmm.. where did you hear all this??

Hi Everyone!

We are coming up on the big 60 day mark :Pinkbounc . I can't believe after 1 1/2 years of planning it is finally getting close. More questions though...

So far, we are taking a plane to MCO and then renting cars to go to Cape Canaveral. We have Tiffany Town Car taking all 10 of us from CC to SOG. Now - :confused3 how do I get from SOG back to MCO :confused3 ? What are other SOG people doing? Obviously I am looking for the cheapest and most effective transportation. I need it for 4 adults and 2 children. Let me know if you have any suggestions. I will post in the regular forum also.

Do we have any plans for a DIS meet yet?

Today is 60 days until we leave on the Wonder :flower: and only 59 until we arrive in Florida. We are getting very excited here especially since last Saturday we had snow. :sad2:

My dd and ds made paper chains with a link for each day til we leave. I hope this keeps them from constantly asking how many more days. Plus it will help me keep track too!

Would love to hear from the other June 5 Wonder cruisers who are as excited as I am about the 60 day mark!!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
