We did not even it up. I think we are still in denial.

Okay as it is now:

2. MousseauMob (DW, DH, DS9, Sydney2) ---------8100
3. MickeyFan66/Diznefan76 (Elizabeth, Janese)-----7125
4. tarheelgirl (Sherry, Pam)------------------------7000
5. poohs4me (DGF, DBF, DD8)--------------------- ????
6. bearjon (DW, DH, DD15, DS9)------------------ ????
7. WRH3MD --------------------------------------8002
8. Skeegan--------------------------------------- ????

I did read in one of the other trip threads that each cabin brought one thing and they did a gift exchange. I guess that way you don't have to worry about whether you have too few or too many.

Hey guys..for those of you that have been on a DCL cruise before where do you usually eat for embarkation? Parrot Cay? or Topsiders? Which do you prefer? I think that Mickeyfan66 and I will try Parrot Cay. Our last cruise was on the Wonder and we ate at Beach Blanket.

Also, if any of you that aren't going to Dland before or after the cruise wants us to pick up anything special ( ie.50th celebration) just let us know. We would be happy to do so! :teeth:

That's a good idea. Should we do this instead????

You know we have never eaten lunch in a restaurant only buffets entire time on board. I guess I figure if I'm going to confine my kids for a 2 hr. meal at night, we should make lunch fast. We always shoot for breakfast and lunch at Topsiders, I personally like to get out by the Mickey Pool while there are still chairs.

Our last cruise it was so cold that noone wanted to get in the pool only the jacuzzis. Our CC day they had lost their predator nets and had 2 sharks in the lagoon so they would not allow anyone in but honestly it was so cold and windy I am not sure if I would have anyway.

 Well, we have the princess dresses. We couldn't decide between the Snow White and Cinderella so we got both. Which is funny because I thought she was going to go for the sleeping beauty. They are a 3 and big, but she's not tripping over them (like she was last time) and this way she'll be able to wear it longer.

We had planned on eating in Parrot Cay when we arrived, but I hadn't thought about the need to hit the pool to get chairs. :scratchin I may have to rethink this.

Gift exchange or gifts for all is fine with me. I'm happy with whatever is decided on. Oh heck, I'm just so excited to be going, I don't care what we do. The excitement is killing me. :Pinkbounc

Has anyone ele been following the repositioning cruise? I loved this one:

From the May Repo Cruise Blog at http://www.comstation.com/cruise/

Quote:
News Flash, really funny

There is a passenger here onboard that had t shirts flown in to Curacao in the matter of a day and a half, they say,
Disney Cruise—$8,000
Logo T Shirt—-Sold Out
Waiting in Line Sleeping on Floor
PRICELESS

Now if this guy can do this with Fed Ex in the matter of days why cannot Disney do this with their own t shirts and pins. I think they need to hire this guy for their purchases or at least delievery. Now we will work on the pins next,,,,

If you read the blog he also mentioned that Roy Disney and Eisner were getting on the ship in Cabo and sailing to LA. That should make for some interesting fireworks! :rolleyes1

I read that blog.....I'm so glad that so many of the disers are sharing their experience....it makes me really excited to go!

Yeah I can just imagine the sparks on that one!!!!!...lol

Hey friends, we ate at my favorite Disney rest. "Ohanas" tonight. YUM!!

That whole repo thing is hilarious. All I know is for close to $1000/night, I would not sleep on the floor for a voucher. I want my privacy, TV, comfort, ...It certainly will drive the point home.
They ae so lucky to have Taylor Mason. Have you all seen him? He has been on almost all our cruises coincidentally. I laugh so hard I can hardly breathe. I love reading all their excitement. Eisner and Roy should make for interesting news. Guess we know whos in the Roy and Walt Disney Suites.

Wow..so it looks like we will only have about 6 staterooms! Should we do gifts for each cabin? or should we do 1 gift per cabin and do a gift exchange????

Anyone have any ideas since we have never done this to know what people normally would give? Pins, keychains...that sort of trinket or ???

Any pincollectors? We are not but we were just near the pin cart last night and I noticed that MK has pins for the celebration.

I'm not sure what other's have given before....I'm new at this too...but i'm sure that we could just give little trinkets that represent our state..at least that's what we were thinking.

I'm not necessarily a fanatic when it comes to pin collecting but i do have a few. I definently plan on getting one when we are in Dland for the celebration! and of course the golden mickey ears! :rotfl2:

I like the idea of the 'state' trinkets...even though I am still thinking as to what it should be from NC. I'm also not a big pin person but have a few around a picture. I bought a corked frame at MK probably 4 or 5 years ago. Holds pins very nicely.

Whatever we do, are we going to bring something for each stateroom? I really like that idea since we are such a small group. What do you all think?

Tomorrow is the last day of school here! :teacher: Then I can really start thinking about the cruise!

I too like the idea of each stateroom since we are so small. But then again that means more shopping for me, and I love to shop! :rotfl2:

Since we are such a small group, I think we should do the one per person/group also. I say person/group because, don't we have a couple of staterooms that are being shared by friends?

This is what I was thinking for gifts: I bought these little stick up plush disney characters (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto) that I was going to give to the kids. They are really small and cute with velcro sticky back so they can put them on a backpack or something. Then I was also going to get some local salt water taffy made from salt from the Great Salt Lake for each stateroom - or per person/group. I'm also considering key chains or something for the adults - if I see something I like. Anyway, that's my ideas at this point, but I'm open for suggestions. If we do the gift exchange I have a different idea for the gift.

I made it to the Home Depot today and picked up our green mickey head for our lanyard. So I'm all set, except the gift shopping!

We're not big into pins either, although I do have a few. I love the cork frame idea, I'm going to have to do that so my pins aren't just sitting in a drawer.

Off the top of my head, other small gift ideas I can think of are:
Small picture frames
Pen (instead of pins... :rotfl: )
Key chains
Magnets
Pirate gear (little things like eye patches or bandana's etc.) pirate:
Stickers (does anyone else scrapbook?)
DW or DL small souveniers

I think that we should do gifts for each stateroom....we aren't a very big group...also when should we give the gifts?? should we bring them to the sail away party?? or plan another time to hand them out??

tarheel girl- the cork board is a really good idea for the pins! I never would have thought about that!

Mouseaumob-Mickeyfan66 and & scrapbook all the time! and you and I were thinking the same thing on what to give for gifts!.... :cool1:

diznefan76 shouldn't we get two gifts for your stateroom so both you and Mickeyfan66 have one to take home? Or should we really do just one per stateroom that is shared?
